How come the Avengers can kill people left and right and no one bats an eye but Superman cant kill an unstoppable alien killing machine (and cry about it too) without people freaking out?

Cause deep down, people FEAR Superman and fear what he can do if he gets pissed off. We seen in the "Injustice" games when Superman loses everything he loved and went on a :demonic: spree, and saw how other heroes were :whoa: and even going :sadbron: when he was relentlessly killing.

People in modern times hate Superman because he is "perfect" in order to justify their own shortcomings in life, but they FEAR on what he represents because they can never have his heart or his selflessness. So, they resort on clowning him instead.

comic book heroes are ego maniacs, they won't kill their enemies who have killed hundreds of thousands of people all to be praised by the people and put into god hood. If superman does not kill atleast disable. There's no reason why lex luthor hasn't been lobotomized yet or have his arms and legs ripped off. Metallo is a robot now who cares if he lives or dies. etc.. etc..

here's an idea, if superman or batman doesn't want to kill, why not just build their own justice league prison somewhere in the fortress of solitude or on a distant planet where the villians have no means of escape

:francis: Most people love the Dorner version of Superman. Unless a depowered Zod had the ability to survive falling down into an ice crevice, I'm pretty sure he got murked in that version too. At least in the new version, Zod was still a threat and Supes had regret about it.

Same with the Keaton Batman movies. Blew up a factory full of henchmen, I'm sure most of them didn't get out. Those movies have a body count that would make BvS look like he was working a half shift. As before, there is at least some reference to why he is going overboard in the new movies (Robin), in the old ones he throwing henchmen off of bell towers and blowing them up in sewers cause they put hands on him.

And I'm only referring to movies. I know the comics differ and that's both companies when it comes to films. But lets not get brand new. Just cause we got the technology in film today to show their hands getting dirty doesn't mean when villains were disappearing into an abyss or confetti was coming up out the sewer in the older films people weren't getting killed by them.

:skip: Breh, I saw people saying he was wrong cause he took that mans livelihood destroying that truck. It was obvious he was struggling not wanting to hurt dude but since he got back at him through his truck and not beating the shyt out of him a month later when dude had probably forgot about the whole fight, its not their Superman.

Because they're different characters that are typically framed in a different context.

Also Superman killing Zod might have gone over better if it wasn't done in such a stupid way. It wasn't even like Superman had no other choice in that moment (as many people have pointed out over the years). For all the talk of how deeply it affected him I don't think he mentions it once in Batman v Superman. There's never a comment from Superman about life being precious or there being another way.

The ending that Nolan had in mind was way better and it not being used is why Nolan washed his hands of the whole situation.

The complaints I've seen about Clark wrecking that guys truck is that he did that shyt yet somehow NOBODY heard or saw him do it. As much damage as he did to the Truck the guy would have heard something and went outside to go check.

Just like that dumb scene where Pa Kent tells Clark he took that key to a scientist to get it examined. He said the scientist told him it was made up of things not of this world, yet somehow the scientist didn't ask any further questions or make a huge deal of it, Johnathan was just able to take that shyt back home with no questions.

Also after Man of Steel they should have just thrown the secret identity in the bushes. Clark revealed himself to that Priest, then Zod showed up at his moms house before Clark took the fight into town. Then later in the film Clark tells the military (that's already looking for him) that he's from Kansas....Everybody should know who he is at this point.

People hate Superman, when they gave in being mediocre level people. When they stopped striving to be better people and stopped aspiring to be more than what society tells them, is when people went :scust: at Superman and other DC characters. That "edgy" shyt is why people justify being fukk-ups and have no incentive to end that cycle of dysfunction, because of how it is rewarded.

i wholeheartedly agree...what's a trip is people like to say dumb shyt like 'he's too perfect', when that's not the case....he's not perfect nor does he strive to be perfect...he just strives to be the best person he can be, while getting others to be the best people they can be......what he represents is why he was, is, and will always be my fav hero and that muthafukka to me...

People just intimidated when people strive to be the best person they can be. To many people that are stagnant, removing them from their comfort zone would be the worst thing that can happen to them.

Bruce Wayne doesn't kill Thomas wayne on the other hand will torture you then murder you

Bruce Wayne absolutely has killed in the comics before, but given how long the character has been around he's done pretty much everything at some point or another. The general rule though is that Batman doesn't kill. Same goes for Superman, Spider-Man, and a few others.

Other heroes have killed in the past but it's something they do as an absolute last resort.
