I wasn't a 90s kid, but I always felt like I lived the decade vicariously. Some of the things you guys talked about (kids playing outside, reading, technology not taking over your life) bled into the 2000s. The 90s mentality remained in some form because the 2000s succeeded it. It wasn't until the 2010s that all of that was erased.

Since a lot of these comversations come down to nostalgia and pop culture, I will say that there's been a steady decline in general, and as you get older, you start noticing it more. 90s pop culture was just different. Not all of it is worth having back, but the mentality that created the culture could come back. It's worth a shot.

I think we definitely forgot how many movies and black shows on network TV was shown to us growing up that actually represented correctly. That's not happening today unless you have a :wrist: agenda attached to it or suburb-raised Blavity black speaking on something they never experienced for white liberals conscience sake. Definitely the GOAT decade in US history to be a kid. One of the most balanced decades ever.

Yeah - the art was a lot cheaper to pay for and the networks gave the creativity I will give that up.

When it came time to collect and do the right thing - you know what happened.
