with the aid of the Funk...
the world has never been fair but that still doesn't justify homelessness and food insecurity in a country as prosperous as the USA esp given our "Christian" values
It’s funny that you mention bragging because can you really talk shyt about how well you doing if most of the people you know fukked upLot of you nikkas just on here bragging like you dont live in America still. i got mines looking ass but half your family in poverty still. that shyt makes me sick. i wish i would be bragging to a bunch of anonymous brehs and thats my only contribution to a topic on collective wealth and general wellbeing.
I'm trying to build a ladder and lift people up. There's alot of gatekeeping and politics keeping hard working people out of the boardroom and anyone thats been in there knows that shyt. Hard work is important but it doesnt guarantee shyt. And everybody not cut out to be a hard worker, doesnt mean they should have to suffer in a first world country. This kind of mindset is corrosive. Some people have disabilites, health issues they have no control over. It aint about all that. I want good people to be healthy and happy.
Sitting here acting like COVID didnt just wipe out hella hard working people forced to go back to work during the pandemic. shyt is crazy how we're back to this bootstraps mindset after so much bullshyt has occured in this country. Hustling hard and end up like Don Breedan from Heat. Thats no way to live. We should all be looking out for each other.
I don’t know if it’s a defense mechanism or they just being contrarian but people have to be careful dismissing shytWhen I talk about Macro-issues on this website, nikkas will keep talking like it's an individual issue. That's 20-40% in rent and food is everybody. Those layoffs & other job market are affecting everybody. What is happening in america, can't be collectively hussled out of or ignored because "I got mine"
The only thing that makes money is making money.
Problem is, sometime 30-40 years ago the system got broken and even a "decent" life for working moderately hard/smart got pulled a part.
You gotta be hardworking, cunning, damn near deceptive, around the right crowd and quite honestly lucky to breach the new standards for middle-class.
I'm in this weird space. I don't want that and hope the system can change. I call myself a capitalist, but I have many socialist leanings. I've been moderately successful financially in my life once I entered my 30's.Blood needs to be shed on the wealthy elites that causes these conditions. French Revolution type shyt.
Brooooo I was JUST saying this same thing to my mother like 2 days ago…. The older generation ain’t perfect by a long shot… but just looking at people my age and younger??? I seriously fear for our future….these new young’ns coming up are virtually useless…. They can’t fight, yet they don’t respect or empathize with anything, they don’t dream at all, I don’t see them innovating nothing, they’re strung tf out on social media, they aren’t taught the essence of real music anymore…. Their level of toxic is like nothing I’ve seen before, these youngins can hardly talk and form Horne up sentences…. Like where is the next Malcolm X, thr next Bob Marley, the next Cornell west, thr next Muhammad Ali etc etc….. I just don’t see it comingSociety cooked if true. Working harder is almost never a bad thing. shyt gonna get spooky when the old school generation passes on.
Learned this the hard way in my 20s when I was working retail. Moved up to asst. manager with the quickness, figured out the inventory system, had binders, schedules, excel sheets all on point. Then they gave me more work by having to train other people, go to meetings in the city, etc.... Then I'd take 2 days off and I'd get calls,The harder you work the more work you get. Work a medium amount, enough to get that promotion, but not enough to stress you out too much
sad to see so many brainwashed by capitalism still
that has nothing to do with what i saidSure the system is messed up but we're all fighting for the same resources and you can only operate in the world that actually exists. Too many people operate in a world that they wish existed.
In the words of 2pac, I was given this world, I didn't make it.
If I gotta be here, I'm not gonna whine and complain. I'm gonna do the best I can to win.
The age bracket you're speaking on is in here with bootstraps on tight so nah it's not gonna change with themI think about this often future doesn’t look good..older millennials and generation X the last hope and it’s not looking good
That's not what work smarter not harder means.
I'm surprised how many people are using the cliche wrong in this thread
....unless it means something elsewhere
Learned this early on in the military. The kats that were great at their job never were able to take leave (vacation) because no one else in the work center / duty section were as qualified as them.
The fukked up thing is you could be trash at your job and have zero qualifications and still get paid the exact same as them.
For most jobs, [in the military and civilian sector] working hard actually puts you at a disadvantage in some aspects.
