I would say trucking is a skilled trade. It seems easy but tons of variables can make it difficult
Do you need a business or union connects to make that kind of bread? That guy is more than likely just a laborer and not an actual tradesman. He even says he isn't an electrician (which I am), or a machine operator, something that is PHYSICALLY EASY. I can tell you now while I do work 56 hours a week my TAKE HOME pay is $2200/week and I don't even put my tools on really. It takes 4 years to become a licensed journeyman electrician, it isn't one year it doesn't work that way. Yeah being a laborer fukking sucks and a disproportionate amount of them on jobsites are black. I constantly try to get them into electrical if I can because laborer is a WOAT level job won't even lie.
Get out your feelings you just wrote a whole lot of bullshyt trying to dispute an actual fact
You trying to argue against talking points ain’t nobody even made in this thread, you just writing shyt just to be writing
You ain’t militant like you think you is either, don’t include me in with you or these other goofy ass posters cause most of yall including you don’t know what yall talking about

They offer new employees a good package for an entry level engineer. You gotta take into account overtime. If I’m studying engineering in college I would intern at these two companies they then hire you directly after college.
Electrician's are eating GOOD off these right now and will continue to eat good for the next two decades off of building data centers. I haven't worked on anything besides a data center for the past 4 years all I have done is build data centers. Plenty of overtime and they are actually rather simple to build when compared to building other buildings(looking at Hospitals here in particular).
What makes you come up with this logic?
They got engineer internship programs they intern in college they clocking over 100 when you include the overtime but this P&G & Tyco both multinational companies. I understand it’s bread out here to be madeI looked at just the first page....almost all those jobs are managerial positions.
I'm just speaking from my expierience; a fresh out of school engineer isn't worth much.
and the American job market reflects that; can't speak on foreign shyt.
I am, thanksAre you in?

I've worked with them before at previous jobs. I don't deal with controls at the new company I'm at now. I primarily do distribution.you know PLCs?
Like I said theirs variables that can make things difficult. Weather, tight docks, cars in the way,etc etc it's definitely not an a 2 bI don't define a trade based off difficulty. If you can't do an apprentenship and hit different levels its not a trade. If you are are a tradesmen you can eat 100x different ways. Trucking is literally moving A 2 B.
Yeah I used to work with people who have done HVAC for YEARS and they just couldn’t get around as easily. Their knees were shot so they would shuffle their feet everywhereFormer HVAC tech here. shyt is tough on the body and the hours are long. We had mandatory on call shifts that rotated with coworkers. Driving all over the state for calls and staying late to fix stuff. Hard to get your foot in the door and the senior techs are dikks. Slow months so you’re not making money and a lot of places don’t offer insurance. Still happy I have my certifications just in case I need something to fall back on.
Now im a firefighter which is just as hard physically and do engineering work for a school district. Not sure what the future holds for me career wise ultimately
