If you value M4A he's a supporter and has co-sponsored legislation.

If you value the VRA then you have one of its primary backers.

If you think experience in leadership and working with the current caucus is valuable then you have that.

If you were banking on massive re-alignment of the democratic party following the retirement of Pelosi you were selling yourself a pipe dream and was likely going to view the eventual successor as terrible.
I think people have their own very personal reasons for not liking him ( you hate corporations and you hate israel/jews representation in politics) then sure you're going to end up making hyperbolic takes like, "He's terrible" .
