From the sounds yes he was hitting and believe had spit on her...another dude there was pleading with him to stop and just leave.
She was as well and said at the end I don't know what else to do but call the police.

This is a bad look on Adam Silver and the NBA more than anything. What kind of investigation process do you guys have if this clear footage was available and you didn't punish him at all?

They more than likely could have gotten access to the video had they just decided to interview the victim in the first place instead of taking the court case and Hayes word at face value.
No suspension or punishment at all gives off the optics that they did the bare minimum investigation to sweep it under the rug.

I’m not going to fault an employer for not interviewing an outside party to make a decision.
The actual court & giving the employee an opportunity to explain was sufficient. If any thing blame the poor legal system for not obtaining video sooner.
To add even if they interviewed her, she’s been holding the video? You expected her to be truthful?

Hey @Heavy_Handz. These are the type of threads I always say that you voice little but are quick to speak on when a woman goes out of bounds.
The outside party is the victim, so the league should have done everything in their power to try and interview her before making the decision because now this video makes them look even worse since they levied no punishment whatsoever. It’s all about optics.
She's also been suing him since 2022 and the case has been ongoing, so it's not like the video just popped up out of the blue.

Even though I couldn't stand David Stern at at times, this situation would have been handled way differently if Stern was alive
