How long does it take for GPUs to drop in price? I just looked up benchmarks and the 4090 is annihilating every other graphics card ever made. Like it's to the point I do not want to invest in anything less. But the GPU alone is $1600

My mind is made up though. When that shyt dip under a stack im pulling the trigger. Just hope I don't have to wait till GTA 6 comes out to afford it

Probably next year. Maybe this fall when the 4090ti likely comes out and some people will trade up. I think most 4090 owners are gonna wait for the 5090 next year to upgrade though, but you might find one used in the fall.

TBH, if you really don't care about Ray-Tracing or DLSS, the best bang for buck right now is a 6900XT or a 6950XT. It's about $500-650 for the 6900XT right now. It'll run most things maxed out at 4k and 60 frames if you don't care about the two items mentioned above.

Problem is I wanna be future-proof so while i may not mind 1440p now, I know going forward games will only get more demanding so that 1440/120 today might be 1080/120 max tomorrow.

Plus, being cheap isn't always best, and I learned a hard lesson with this monitor. I knew damn well I should've gotten OLED but when I picked up this G7 last year shyt was still crazy expensive so I thought I just got a great deal cuz it's 4K 144hz. Problem is the HDR is super mid which isn't a deal breaker BUT the backlight is so bad I don't even want to play at night. It's truly awful. You move your mouse cursor on a dark screen and you literally see the "auto dimming" work by the back light following your cursor each time it enters a new zone.



Terrible peon shyt and I should've known better because I was gaming on my b7 for years, only stopped cuz I was finally getting burn in. I've learned to live with the G7 by just turning the auto dimming feature off.. But now dark scenes are WOAT. Playing in the dark is WOAT. but I gotta get my money's worth out this thing so that's why I'm saying I need to at least get the most out of it with the good qualities it does have

Brokies dream and window shop all day nikka this par for the course in reality I'm still gaming on struggle series x and won't be copping a PC anytime soon

You will be waiting like 5-7 years then. The 4090 just came out and is a $2000 card. You're a beggar tryna be a chooser right now. Falling into the pc gaming trap of buying too much for your needs. Buy for your intended purpose, no more, no less. You have never even built a PC before but want to build your first one using a $2000 part
