People just gotta accept that the Charlos looked like ass. There wasn't any conspiracy. People been saying they were overrated for a minute. Jermall arguably lost to an over the hill austin trout. That should have told you enough. Then people got excited when he knocked out j rock but that didnt really prove anything except he got power and j rock got a glass chin. J rock and lubin were not ready for those fights and the Charlos took full advantage. Nothing against them....they did what they had to. But it gave them a level of hype they didn't really deserve.

Continuously feeding them bums who come in head first is not helping their cause at all. It's just stunting their growth. Now I understand why neither of them wanted that fade with Lara. Trout gave both of em tough fights. A flabby and sick trout at that. And they haven't improved since. It's all been perfect matchmaking. At this point they aren't ready for the truly elite guys. Canelo is the worst possible matchup for jermall. He can't handle slickness and he don't move his head. Canelo's defense and speed would be a nightmare for him. Would probably end in a highlight reel KO. same with danny. Mall would prolly do best vs little g but he would still get broken down and stopped late.

That's not even counting how silly Saunders or Andrade would make him look.

These dudes at 28...28!!! ain't had 1 elite opponent except a shop worn Trout and bum ass Vanes

Canelo- Cotto, Floyd, Trout, Lara, GGG

Saunders- had Andy lee and was working on Andrade

Jacobs- Kid Chocolate, GGG, Pirog

GGG- didn't have elite early but at least had knocked them out. He would have blasted Korobov

Andrade- former Olympian and had Saunders lined up.

Lara- Trout, Canelo, Pwill, Hurd, a decent Angulo at the time.

These dudes got skills no doubt...but are no way elite.

I was stunned how bad they looked.

I was rooting for them lions out of Alief, but to keep it real they lowkey got exposed. With that performance they are not beating the likes of Canelo,GGG,Jacobs :mjcry:. As far as the commentary, there was way to much dikk riding for Mell during his fight with Harrison.

I spoke on our podcast the other day but it's crazy that this time a few years ago, the perception of the Charlo's was that they were ducking J Rock and Boo Boo respectively. Fast forward a few KO's and the media been gassing them up hard but that all came to a head last Saturday.

I always questioned the Charlo's about who the hell have they really beaten to be seen as two fighters who other JMW and MW fighters were ducking and avoiding.

i can tell some of yall aint familiar with Harrison, the PBC, and Haymon.

Harrison was the guy when PBC 1st started. he was getting all the showcases. Then...he got KOd. Harrison isnt some slouch and neither was the Russian dude in the main event. Harrison boxed his ass off and should be saluted for it.

If we talking the whole weekend of boxing..Breazeale looked the worst. He was getting pieced up by a guy who stopped trying half way into the fight. We talk about Wilder getting bailed out by his power, but Breazeale is even worse with it. At least Wilder bringing athleticism and unpredictability. Breazeale ain't bringing that and be up and down as fukk. Sometimes boxing, sometimes going thru the motions. Most of the time just looking slow and cumbersome.

Harrison didn't impress me at all. Was way too passive. He looked better winning rds against Nelson and Hurd before getting stopped, than he did against Mell.

Mell was a lil passive too, but let his hands go more often and won clearly imo

Mall was ok, started off bad, but not Algieri vs Provodnikov bad. Mall slowly found his way into the fight and ended shyt big. Close bout. Drawish anybody can get it type of fight.

Warrington deserves FOTY honorable mention. Dude beat the shyt outta 2 boxers who were supposed to be a class above him. Frampton was doing all he could just to keep that nikka off of him, Got in some good licks, but he lost that fade.

Whyte was getting worked over until he finally ran Chisora into the perfect shot. Both guys came in good shape.

Definitely makes up for last weeks shytty fights.
