To quote @HeruDat "Ward's winning WCW belts now".

You can label the WBO light-heavyweight Intercontinental title whatever you choose, but it still doesn't change that Ward fought and won the Championship no matter how bogus you feel it is.:manny:

And evidently it's you who needs the thicker skin if you have to bring up or worry that someone made a profane comment to you over the Internet on a forum. :jawalrus:

Only fans that care about 0's are casuals...

Boxing heads know records in boxing mean absolute shyt...

There have been plenty of fighters with big records in this sport who made a living fighting cab drivers, hot dog vendors and bodega clerks...

When its all said and done, your place in boxing history is ultimately defined by who you beat and how you beat him...

According to BoxRec it was the

vacant WBO International light heavyweight title

We Global even our Tune Ups are High Stakes :wow:

BoxRec is incorrect on this!

On Tuesday, August 2, Two-Time World Champion and top-rated pound-for-pound fighter Andre Ward (29-0, 15 KOs) and power-punching Colombian Alexander Brand (25-1, 19 KOs) participated in a media workout at King’s Gym in Oakland, California in advance of their August 6 fight at Oracle Arena in Oakland. Ward and Brand will meet in 12-round WBO Intercontinental title bout televised live on HBO World Championship Boxing® beginning at 10:35 p.m. ET/PT.

Ward – Brand quotes for Saturday’s fight on HBO - Boxing News

Ward continued his conquest of the light heavyweight division on August 6, 2016 at Oracle Arena, in Oakland, CA, taking on power-punching Colombian Alexander Brand in a 12-round contest. With the WBO Intercontinental title on the line, Ward once again emerged victorious by way of unanimous decision, with all three judges scoring the bout 120-108. Immediately following the decision, Ward announced in the ring that he will be taking on unified Light Heavyweight Champion Sergey Kovalev in the ultimate showdown for division supremacy and recognition as the best pound-for-pound fighter on November 19, presented live by HBO Pay-Per-View.

I agree which is the exact reason why you should quit playing yourself because at this point you look like a complete buffoon :lolbron:
Resorting to "I know you are, what am I" retorts are we?:jbhmm:

"Be clueless about a sport" you allege to be a expert in & not even knowing that Andre Ward, the fighter you've been :cape:for all through this thread had fought for a light-heavyweight title previously to fighting Kovalev.

So if we allowed this "light heavyweight title" to count...then also according to you, Adrien Broner is NOT a 4x Champion, he's actually a 9x Champion? All of Boxing has it wrong, @O.G.B. is the one who knows what he's talking about?:lupe:

Clueless:mjlol:

Well if the WBO Intercontinental title is considered "minor trinkets" as you claim, explain why Andre Ward fought for a vacant light-heavyweight WBO Intercontinental title then? :heh:

And why would Ward, the Michael Jordan of boxing :mjlol:& his team waste their time training & fighting for a worthless championship?
Funny nikka you still ducking & dodging :jawalrus: and won't answer this simple question above which indicates you're clearly stalling because you've backed yourself into a corner & don't have a legitimate response.

giphy.gif

If you followed Boxing, you'd know that Ward fought him bc he was the only opponent available and willing to fight at that time. :dead: at you billing that fight as a Championship fight though:russ:

Also :dead: at the fact Alexander Brand came in as the B-Side, making $30k, to defend his "Championship" vs Ward.

Did you just mention having a popularity poll? :mjlol::lolbron: Really? :snoop:

If your knowledge was as concrete & concise as you claim, you wouldn't have even embarrassed yourself by making such stupid remark!

My knowledge is already known breh...I don't have to prove myself to some random Coliseum poster who doesn't know anything about Boxing, bc respect of knowledge isnt given, it's earned. I earned mine stomping through this forum......you aint earned 1 stripe yet and you're on pace to getting that #WPOY2017 banner:sas2:

The only thing you've been certified as is an Adrian Broner & Andre Ward nuthugger!:russ:

Case in point! :mjlol:

What kind of man constantly post hundreds of Instagram & Twitter pictures on an Internet forum idolizing & worshiping other men. :dwillhuh: :patrice::jbhmm: :sas2:

You went in the OG thread, to find a post of me specifically posting something about AB.........but skipped over my tons of posts talking about everything else huh?:jbhmm:

Clown behavior:dead:

And then the ironic part is your last sentence, bc you're literally sitting in here posting gifs of Floyd, articles about him, and riding Floyd harder than Ms Jackson ever could:mjlol:

You don't know anything about Boxing. You're a Google Warrior. And the fact remains, that in this VERY thread, you've had multiple Floyd fans comment and basically tell you that you sound stupid:russ:

Beat it:camby:

Oh yeah, I got time now:umad:

Just keep proving how much LACK of knowledge you have.:mjlol:

It's actually called BOTH the Intercontinental and International Championship.........but being that you're part of #GoogleGang, Im 100% sure you didn't know that:ufdup:

Undefeated Andre Ward used a steady left hook to outpoint Alexander Brand to take the WBO International light heavyweight championship in Oakland, California, on Saturday night.

Andre Ward outpoints Alexander Brand in California stroll - WBO

Regional & Minor Titles

    • WBO NABO Super Middleweight Title (June 2008; 2 defenses)
    • NABF Super Middleweight Title (February 2009; 1 defense)
    • WBO International Light Heavyweight Title (August 2016; 0 defenses)
Andre Ward - WBO

^^^That's from the WBO's mouth themselves, and they've even referred to it as nothing but a Minor title......so if you're gonna google, google responsibly:umad:

Wrong! If you really followed boxing prolifically as you've claim, then you would've known that Ward was originally supposed to fight Nov 21st 2015 on the Canello vs Cotto card for the first time as light heavyweight however due to inflammation and pain in his right knee the bout was postponed, however his opponent actually hadn't been determined yet.

"Ward (28-0, 15 KOs) was set to make his 175-pound debut on the Mandalay Bay Events Center pay-per-view card headlined by a middleweight title fight between Miguel Cotto and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Ward’s opponent hadn’t been determined, although 38-year-old Alexander Brand of Colombia was the most likely candidate."

"The 39-year-old Brand was mentioned as a potential opponent for Ward on November 21 last year for his cancelled fight on the Miguel Cotto vs. Saul “Canelo” Alvarez card on HBO PPV. However, Ward pulled out of the card due a knee injury. Ward’s promoters at Roc Nation Sports kept Brand on tap and are now using him for Ward’s August 6 fight."

And Ward didn't have to fight for the WBO Intercontinental Light Heavyweight title as it was not a mandatory title fight, he & his team chose to! :sas2:

And if you have a problem with how the WBO Intercontinental Light Heavyweight title was billed as a Championship fight, then take it up with the WBO, HBO & the other media outlets who advertised it as such!

Also :dead: at the fact Alexander Brand came in as the B-Side, making $30k, to defend his "Championship" vs Ward.

:usure: :snoop: What the fukk are you "talking" about? Alexander Brand never defended the WBO Light Heavyweight InterContinental title because he never held it, as the title was vacant.

:russ::lolbron::mjlol: :pachaha:Stick to cheerleading & posting your usual Broner & Ward idolization pics breh. Once again you've done nothing but confirm you don't know "shyt from shinola" about the intricacies of boxing.

:snoop: Casuals:snoop:

How am I wrong?:dahell:

I specifically said:
If you followed Boxing, you'd know that Ward fought him bc he was the only opponent available and willing to fight at that time.:dead:

If YOU followed Boxing, you'd know that the REASON Brand became the opponent is because the opponents they went after INITIALLY backed out like I said:ufdup:

When Ward (29-0, 15 KOs) returned from the knee problem to make his 175-pound debut on March 26, he did so against then-undefeated Sullivan Barrera, rather than Brand, and won a lopsided unanimous decision, 117-109 on all three scorecards.

Still intending on having one more fight in order to get used to his new weight class before facing Kovalev, Ward needed an opponent for Aug. 6 and Brand (25-1, 19 KOs) got the call when deals for preferred opponents Nathan Cleverly (29-3, 15 KOs), a former light heavyweight world titleholder from Wales, and Swedish up-and-comer Erik Skoglund (25-0, 11 KOs) did not work out.

Sources: Ward to face Brand before Kovalev bout
Virgil Hunter said that opponent was undefeated light heavyweight Erik Skoglund, according to boxing video channel Dontae’s Boxing Nation. Hunter also named Nathan Cleverly and said the former light heavyweight titleholder wanted too much money. And Dan Rafael of ESPN.com reported earlier in the year that Ward’s team and that of unbeaten prospect Vyacheslav Shabranskyy couldn’t come to terms either.

- See more at: Andre Ward Says Brand Wasn't Top Pick, Views Him as Dangerous - Boxing News

Brand was only supposed to be the 1st opponent on the HBO deal in November as a tuneup. Being that Ward got injured, it scrapped the planned fight, and Ward instead fought Barrera when he came back. Then, he looked for other opponents to face as his final tuneup before Kovalev who would've been Skoglund...but Skoglund didn't take the fight. THAT'S how Brand got offered the fight again:ufdup:

You should've knew this, but you're a casual who is strictly relying on google-ing answers:manny:

And Ward didn't have to fight for the WBO Intercontinental Light Heavyweight title as it was not a mandatory title fight, he & his team chose to! :sas2:

What is the name of the minor trinket that WBO posted on THEIR WEBSITE that they gave Ward, Sway

Soooooo, once again:

:heh: @ thinking the WBO InterContinental & WBO International belts are the exact same!

And no matter if the WBO InterContinental is considered a "minor trinket" what's more telling is that the so called Michael Jordan of Boxing Andre Ward still fought for it & has it on his boxing résumé ! :umad:

Furthermore, the information on the WBO website could be an error, as most of the other sources, including Ward's own website states he won the WBO InterContinental title.

The GOAT RJJ been saying this for years as well.

It carries no weight when RJJ says it because he's GOAT, which is pretty much the point.
