Good graphic. Needs to be updated with Kawhi and his 7 trophies and KD’s 8.

I love that graphic too, but they fukked up because if the cutoff is 5, they ignored several Top 50 players; at the time the graphic was made Cowens was probably still seen as Top 50 but over the last couple years he's fallen from that as guys of this era have worked their way onto the list (Kawhi, Beard, Russ, Pierce, etc)...

This is how the updated list would look, though, for all the guys that are presently considered Top 50, generally speaking (without COY which has shyt to do with your play):

22
Mike

17
Russell

15
Kareem

14
LeBron

13
Magic

12
Shaq, Duncan, Kobe

10
Bird

9
Wilt, Hondo, Cousy

8
KD, Pettit

7
Dream, Pippen, Kawhi, Reed

6
Oscar, Mikan

5
Moses, Admiral, Steph, Wade, Isiah, McHale, Walton

4
Mailman, Doc, KG, Iverson, Barry

3
Logo, Dirk, Frazier, Westbrook

2
Chuck, Baylor, Nash, Kidd, Paul, Payton, Harden, Pierce

1
Stockton, Hayes, Ewing, Drexler, Gervin

0
Nique

Everyone with 9+, can't tell the story of basketball without, as 10 of the 12 guys were part of dynasties that shaped eras of The League, and Wilt and Bron were the most individually dominant players who weren't on All-Time dynasties...

Steph is unique and I can see an argument to include him, as he was the face of a dynasty that helped define an era, but the problem is once you include him, you got all those other 5-8 trophy players where you gotta explain why they aren't included, and the list becomes too long. The Warriors aren't some small story in NBA history, but every great player has "chapters" and you can the history of The League by the Top 10 players alone, and just include chapters within---->

(Ie Logo and O aren't some insignificant footnotes in history but you can tell them as a chapter within the larger story of the Celtics and Wilt's dominance; Mikan has to be mentioned as the precursor to the Celtics dynasty, etc). The Warriors likewise aren't insignificant but you can tell them within the larger story of LeBron, like the Pistons and Zeke within the larger story of Mike...

Wow!! Responding to nothing I said .

Bill Russell was drafted and coached by Red Auerbach who went on to draft another 5 or six hall of famers and drafted some before Bill joined the team.

again....the front office put those teams together. Not Bill .

What type of response is this?

Magic was drafted by a team that had the NBAs all time leading scorer. Are you really saying Bron had that type of thing going for him at 20 years old?

these players also played for Blue Chip organizations. To sit here and shyt on Jerry West’s brilliance in putting the Lakers teams together.

y’all dudes have turned saying A great player having a great front office into a slight against a great player’s greatness :krs: That’s exactly what you are going to go on doing in the remaining posts here. :russ:

Y’all just garbage

You in the past accuse me of needing daps and now say a lack of daps is proof of something. :mjlol:

Its true. A lot of it is based on his MVPs and Kobe could have easily had 2 or 3 more. Seems like the league punished him after the rape scandal.

The 16 Cavs ring is what makes Lebron unique though. He won against an all time great team with almost no help.

Thats something Magic, Shaq, Kobe, Duncan Bird Wilt Kareem and Russell did not do. Its an entirely unique achievement.

And this is why bron gets shyt on

Its a unique achievement because of the skill level of the team he beat. But he had help. He had Kyrie. Noone chips with no help.

No one ever.

Unless we are talking early league days when Janitors and shyt were playing out there.

But its still a great achievement to have beaten the team that sets the ALL TIME regular season record, and to do so in a come back fashion like that is beyond unique, its downright fukking historic. Add on the storyline of winning one for the Franchise that needed it the most; and its just insane.

Historically speaking the NBA is never going to stop retelling the story of the Teams with all time great reg season records and how they faired. The Bulls will be eternal because of this, and Lebron beating GS in a historic comeback. That shyts gonna get play in all the documentaries.

Kind of a cool thing to think about with that trophy list, is how far can active players climb. LeBron wants to see his son enter The League and take the court with him, which won't be until 2023-24, so he's planning on going 21 years like KG. Realistically its hard to know how many great years he has left after this one, so he has four years left max, and maybe one more elite year left after this one to move up the list...

KD's not playing more than 5 years tops, which puts him at 18 years, and if he can come back from this injury, he's got what, a max of three possible elite years left? Real wild card considering we haven't yet seen his return...

Steph and Kawhi not playing long either, I can see Steph going to maybe 17, which gives him 6 years left. I dont think he's washed, but his best years are probably behind him, so I dont know how much further he rises. Kawhi is the one guy, smack in the middle of his prime, who can really move some shyt on here. He ain't playing more than 16 years total, but that means he still has 7 years left, and right now he has youth on his side. He could really start damaging some shyt and crack up accolades quickly...

Nobody else on here is doing shyt, but Luka and Giannis are gonna make their presence on Top 50 boards within the coming two years...

because only rings matter ... I acknowledge all of what you said

but If I constantly beat children's asses and then get slept by a 250lbs 6'5 grown man
that doesnt make me a fukking finisher
. You have to win when it counts dipshyt :mindblown: who the fukk cares about what you do when you constantly lose or miss in the title game.
I dont give a fukk if you do a backflip and dunk over carlos boozer 5x in a row during the semi's if you still dont win a ring. I thought you were dope, what the fukk happened?

if you are the greatest "playoff" gamewinning closer then explain why you are getting fukking wrecked when it matters?

Hell
There is nothing wrong wit PPs list tho.

How can BR be there when he bullied 175pound cacs all game? Outside of Wilt and a few other guys... don't you think we've progressed so much athletically and it's hard to say a guy in the 60's is the greatest player of all time in 2020?

By the numbers Lebron is easily top 5 and I don't know if Magic and Lebron are any different. This is really a trash conversation.

I'm thinking alot of heads just don't respect Lebron due to his lack of skillsets and offensive moves... I'm guessing that's why so many people dislike him.
