Probably a Hospital Quarantine I would assume. But what good does this really do if a person exposes people on the Plane Ride over? But had this happen to the Doctor here in NY, he wouldn't of went on his little Joyrides around town for a whole week.
so if there quarantined for 21 days do they get paid from their jobs?

But what happen to "Don't Panic". LOL. :sas1: So it's not a "Travel Ban" but if you coming from those countries, you will be Quarantined entering the U.S. This is a clearly a message to Obama and the CDC to act. Isn't it funny how "1" New York case did this. They know the deal.

That's what Ellis island was built for. I'm glad to see this news. I have no doubt that it will be contained and it's nice to see the caution

Basically it's a "Travel Ban" without calling it that. NY and NJ are clearly going over Obama and the CDC's head cause they would not impose a "Travel Ban". Who wants to sit in a hospital for 3 weeks when they are on vacation or coming home from working in Africa? Look I'm honestly for this. If you dealt with ebola patients than Yes you should get through the 21 day period as the CDC said you should. I just think they didn't want to single out one African country and put a Travel Ban on it. I get that but come on, this Doctor clearly should of been quarantined after he landed in JFK. I don't know if the government will compensate these doctors.

Yeah that's what I think Obama's concern is. He doesn't want to single out Africa and make a "Travel Ban" on 1 country. But New York won't admit it but they knew people were scared today. Notice how quickly they acted on this. Had that Doc just stayed in for the 3 weeks maybe this wouldn't of happen but again He went on a New York Tour for awhole week. People are concerned with him being on the train and doing so many things that it could of spread to other people. So yeah that Doctor messed it up for all Doctor's now.

Quarantined Traveler Who Returned To N.J. From West Africa Develops Fever

NEWARK, N.J. (CBSNewYork) — A health care worker who was quarantined at Newark Liberty International Airport after returning from treating Ebola patients in West Africa developed a fever and was being evaluated Friday night.

The woman was the first person quarantined under a new screening system announced earlier Friday by New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.

CONGRESS HAS EBOLA HEARING TAKES CDC TO TASK
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/10/24/on-ebola-congress-says-do_n_6044658.html

Well you knew someone head was going to roll after today's events. Now Congress is turning on the CDC about how it handled the NYC Ebola Doctor. Then you throw in NY and Jersey going over the CDC and having the 21 day quarantine. It's clear they know what time it is. I would say New Yorkers for the most part went along with our day. Many of us woke up to the news. But trust, there was a "Quiet" Fear. Offices all around the city talked about it. It was on all the papers. Wall to Wall News coverage. You have TONS of articles telling us New Yorkers, "It's ok, The Subway is Safe, go back to that bowling alley, etc, etc".

Today was just a strange day to be in New York City. As for the Doctor, again I know he's a victim and I said that the CDC has to take some responsibility. But he knew he was working with the disease, that's why it should of been out of his hands but the CDC let him go and said he didn't' show symptoms. We are still learning about this disease but if you polled every New Yorker and asked them, "Do you feel comfortable with the fact that this guy rode the train and did all these things", I'm sure a majority would say Hell No. That's just real talk. So though we all went on with our day. You could just feel it in the air. People were a little shook today. New York is the Biggest City in America. As soon as news hits that we had 1 case. Yeah people were like WTF this morning.

Going to West Africa to directly help patients suffering from Ebola and then returning to the US exposing yourself to hundreds of people is counterproductive...you're potentially getting others sick and continuing the cycle of spreading the virus. If flights aren't prohibited, then anyone flying back from those countries affected needs to be quarantined for the appropriate time...and if not, they should face criminal charges.
