You know good and damn well nobody's going to acknowledge this, and you're about to get called a shill.

Executive order doesn't require house and senate.

An executive order is a signed, written, and published directive from the President of the United States that manages operations of the federal government.
Executive orders are not legislation; they require no approval from Congress, and Congress cannot simply overturn them. Congress may pass legislation that might make it difficult, or even impossible, to carry out the order, such as removing funding. Only a sitting U.S. President may overturn an existing executive order by issuing another executive order to that effect.

As the article I posted showed, he can use executive order to push it through.

And what’s going to stop a republican president from undoing it? Clearly that precedent was set when Biden spent the first few weeks of his presidency undoing trumps bullshyt. Executive orders are useful, yes, but can easily be undone unless it is made into a concrete law.

I gave my view on hr. 40 before, my post have nothing to do with dems. Only a fool can't see through this account :dead:

Another issue is the Supreme court

A study shouldn't take more than a year.

Like I said to the other poster, if you want to claim I am something I am not, then we can work that out through a ban bet.

HR40 is in The House only, so the Senate and Presidency don't matter. The Senate has it's own companion bill, S.1083 which is nonexistent as far the "Reparations Rangers" crowd is concerned...

Anyway... the Reparation Rangers take credit for increasing House support on HR40, but at the same time say it's trash and needs to be rewritten or scrapped altogether.
How they make sense of that I have no idea :dame: but it definitely plays a role.

If this is what you meant then you sabotaged your own thread by adding information about controlling the House and the Senate. You could have just asked why Biden didn’t sign an exec order to push this initiative forward…. Instead you mentioned passing a bill and thus are getting responses related to why it couldn’t be passed due to the lack of actual control of the Senate.

Congratulations, you played yourself.

But nah, this is a poorly executed thread

How Are Laws Made?
Laws begin as ideas. First, a representative sponsors a bill. The bill is then assigned to a committee for study. If released by the committee, the bill is put on a calendar to be voted on, debated or amended. If the bill passes by simple majority (218 of 435), the bill moves to the Senate. In the Senate, the bill is assigned to another committee and, if released, debated and voted on. Again, a simple majority (51 of 100) passes the bill. Finally, a conference committee made of House and Senate members works out any differences between the House and Senate versions of the bill. The resulting bill returns to the House and Senate for final approval. The Government Printing Office prints the revised bill in a process called enrolling. The President has 10 days to sign or veto the enrolled bill.

How long are we talking?

2 weeks.

DIDNT BIDEN ALREADY SAY
HE DIDNT SUPPORT REPARATIONS
BEFORE THESE NEGROS VOTED HIM IN?

I was one of those negros. I don't regret my vote either.

I outlined how Trump would further shut-off access to capital for Black people, and how he was targeting Medicaid. That doesn't mean I am a soft democrat or shill who won't even speak against democrats when they are bullshytting around.

----

People in here thinking I am a conservative/republican or white for wanting to call out dems when I've ever only voted for democrats. Some of these folks are very, very passive people. Someone says "no" to them and they shut up and put their heads down.

Because the congressional black caucus is only 9% of congress and 100% of republicans won’t support it.

Hell, I don’t think even 50% of democrats support it.

After a while the president must lead and not wait around. Let congress overturn the EO if they are truly against it.
