Whatever. La La Land actually drops here a week later and so far the only advance screening includes some fukking dude live performing some of the songs beforehand so I'm definitely not going to that fukking shyt.

Getting back to this discussion, @Prodigal Syndicate , if this movie flops I'll owe up to it being the lack of "star power" of Pratt (and J-Law). Even with the iffy marketing for this movie continuing (see below) and facing Star Wars nearly head-on, Sony is fully relying on the star power of this duo to sell the movie, so if it fails there's little denying it.

And regarding that iffy marketing, did you guys see this godawful trailer they released like a week ago?



They already had two trailers showing off the sci-fi action adventure angle and now all of a sudden they decide to start selling it as a pure romantic movie?

this was a really good screenplay, but the movie just doesn't look good. Jennifer Lawrence was bad casting, and there is no buzz for this whatsoever. it's gonna get swallowed up. Same with Assassan's Creed.
