Reviews kinda confirm how I felt about the trailers. Sony wanted to have its pie and eat it too and the result is a movie that's all over the place wasting its interesting premise. It's actually kinda messed up that this movie was way more interesting back when we knew nothing about it.
This , Assassin's Creed and Live by Night are getting shyt on. what a shytty Christmas.

I'll catch up on Moonlight and Jackie

I never was that interested in Live By Night but I at least expected that and Passengers to be better received than they are, but whatever.

What is really pure insanity though is that both Assassin's Creed and Passengers got outperformed by that Sing movie on opening night, which means there is now a serious chance that two $100 million+ blockbusters must battle for third and fourth place in their opening weekend.:dead:

they might make enough to break even
I'm very doubtful but who knows. I initially had interest until I saw the trailers and learned the plot to the movie. Hopefully word of mouth isn't too bad. I'm set on seeing Fences over this anyway.

What's the plot?

Cgi movies do well internationally, they will either break even or make some money

I doubt it. Needs at least 250 million. I just don't see it.

Anecdotal but I don't know a single person talking about this film.

On Deadline they say it needs to pull in at least 45-50 million over Christmas weekend to stand a chance, which right now is looking very unlikely. As of now Assassin's Creed is beating it by a small margin, but they expect Passengers to take it over believing the game's fans are coming out early whereas Passengers' main target audience (females) often don't come out until the weekend.

I doubt females are interested in this movie, most dislike Sci fi as it is. this gonna flop .
