Reviews kinda confirm how I felt about the trailers. Sony wanted to have its pie and eat it too and the result is a movie that's all over the place wasting its interesting premise. It's actually kinda messed up that this movie was way more interesting back when we knew nothing about it.

I never was that interested in Live By Night but I at least expected that and Passengers to be better received than they are, but whatever.

What is really pure insanity though is that both Assassin's Creed and Passengers got outperformed by that Sing movie on opening night, which means there is now a serious chance that two $100 million+ blockbusters must battle for third and fourth place in their opening weekend.

As of now Assassin's Creed is beating it by a small margin, but they expect Passengers to take it over believing the game's fans are coming out early whereas Passengers' main target audience (females) often don't come out until the weekend.
