I genuinely enjoyed the film, I did feel that it should have embraced it's dark premise just a bit more and had the characters discussed the actions and motivations a bit

I think of better ending or last sequence would have been Aurora possibly forgiving him but not want to be with him romantically. them being friends for a bit, him dying to fix the ship, seeing her alone for a few years and then her doing the same thing with a different "passenger"

showing that this is not so much about sex as just show a genuine need for human connection

or make jlaw a serial killer/ evil who was escaping earth and she turns out to be a nightmare to be with :yeshrug:

I honestly think it would have been better to have this as a thriller movie, with Chris Pratt going crazy from isolation and then waking up JLaw,trying to act cool. Then when she finds out he tries to kill or capture her and the rest of the movie is her trying to keep away from him while he hunts her down

Both of these ideas are dope!

While I think the movie could've done a better job explaining how he became enamored with her specifically (he shows zero interest in the other passengers which makes his interest in her alone a lot creepier than it needs to be), the movie does not make light of the ethical dilemma in waking her up.

They could've shown him reading her books in his isolation and then finding out she's a fellow passenger.

Agreed with literally everything else.

This wasn't bad but I knew as soon as them reviewers weren't happy, there would be problems. This will do well as a romcom on TV for years later on. I think Chris Pratt should try again.
If they would have just had the one dynamic of making it a love story instead of how the movie turned, it would have been decent. It lost me when 2 regular ass people with no scientific back ground figured out to fix a a ship that advanced with no back ground training at all. I found that just a bit to unbelievable. I mean they figured it out in under 10 mins.

It was supposed to be fantasy but I feel you breh. What did you think overall? I think JLaw needs to dial it back and Pratt should try again later.

Acting was good, the first hour was good shyt, but the last hour was just shyt, they should have kept the first dynamic going. All that extra shyt was not called for.

It was Ok. :manny:

I honestly didn't know what I was watching at 1st. It had it's Love Story and it's Dramatic Moments, I thought they were weighed out pretty good.

Was that really Andy Garcia at the end?:lupe:

It was an ok movie. I liked it

I expected something more sinister with the ship as well... But it was basically titanic in space like another person said.
