You guys are out of touch with reality if you thought Pacific Rim was going to pull in more than Despicable Me 2

What about grown ups being number 2. You saw that coming.

I did

there really wasnt any hype for Pacific Rim outside of the net

38 mill was more then i thought it would do :manny:

and lets be real,it only did that much because of 3D & IMAX sales

Growns Ups 2 beat it without any of that

:ehh: I kinda agree.....

it was just me and my son all sunday and we went to go hoop and BBQ some ribs. He mentioned he wanted to watch a few movies but his mom wouldn't let him....

I was like :patrice: I got a movie for you to watch that your mom probably would let you watch..

We watched K.I.D.S. :ld:

That's why parents shouldn't take their kids to what their kids want to see, they should take them to what they want to see.

I remember when that dumb "Planet 51" movie came out.

Planet 51 - Rotten Tomatoes

This kid wanted to go see that at the theaters. I was like :stop:

Not that I don't like animated movies. Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, Shrek (the first one), The Incredibles...all classics.

But we spent that money on Fantastic Mr Fox instead.

Fantastic Mr. Fox - Rotten Tomatoes

Everybody enjoyed the movie. Personally I think "Despicable Me" was way overrated because of the little kids and the yellow people. "Megamind" was funnier. Haven't seen the second one.

Saw Pacific Rim though and that movie was :salute:

We ain't watching grown ups 2 though, part 1 was unbearable

All the younger kids in my fam love power rangers breh.

You really think a franchise like that was brought back solely to appeal to the geeks? Don't be naïve man. Nick knows kids eat up poorly acted teen centric shytt and Power Rangers defines that genre.

OP acting like he aint watch Disney as a youngster trynna pass the buck onto the next generation :heh: despicable me aint nothing special at all but kiddie shyt aint nothing new.

And their film taste this weekend

Animation and comedy>>>>>>>>>>another end of the world, cities being destroyed movie

LOL at any of ya'll thinking kids would have the attention span to sit thru Pacific Rim. I damn near feel asleep myself during the middle of the movie.
