The slander in this thread, hehehehehehe.
I encounter arrogant people of any background and I laugh right in their faces.

To the Nigerian members, or to students of 20th century African history, I want to know your thoughts. Do you think Ghana's connection to the diaspora is due more to proactive measures taken them over the years, or to the lack of those measures being taken by Nigerian cultural or tourism departments?
Both English speaking countries, gained independence roughly in same era. I attributed much of Ghana's success in forging those links to Nkrumah experience living/studying in USA( having attended an HBCU & pledging a Black frat). I found out recently that the first leader of independent Nigeria attended an HBCU and pledged the same frat.
Probably not something you've thought about, as countries have their own issues to address in the first decades of independence, but this thread made me wonder.
