Dudes are making it seem like she’s Eva Marie or even Brie Bella status. Even if she’s not good in the ring she’s gotta be at least decent.

I don't have a reason to hate Paige like everyone else does, so I'm just going to be entertained by the comments.

I feel like Paige was needed at a time when women's wrestling in the WWE was in a bad place. She was definitely over and she had that star quality along with a distinctive look. I still remember how much of a big deal it was when she beat A.J. the night after WrestleMania, which was also her main roster debut.

Has she been surpassed by several other women? Yes. Is she considered an all-time great? No. But was she someone that was important in helping women's wrestling move in a better direction? Yes.

Her promo has nothing to do with pointing the fact she was overrated for years as an in ring performer.

As @Mike the Executioner said, she was an important figure for a specific moment in WWE. Anyone acting like she was anything to write home about as a performer (specially in the ring) either didn't watch, doesn't remember or is straight lying.

Paige had a good match with Emma in NXT that somehow was enough to give her a "good worker" card forever. Paige was slightly above average. at her best and that's basically it. She has no real standout performances and no legit great matches. Even when paired with better workers she was never able to have something really memorable.

Her whole thing was being the "anti-diva" and having a goth/emo look that was unique for a woman in WWE. The one thing she has going for her is she's very charismatic, that was what made her popular. She was never actually good in the ring.

I do respect her for never having been bitter to Sasha, and continuing to support her, despite a freak injury.
