How the fukk is it 2019 and Witten leading us in targets in a game at age 40 when you have all these weapons in the outside. Jarwin did more in one receptions then Witten did with multiple
Because Dak hates throwing to targets moving side to side. He's become pretty damn good hitting his guys over the top or on double moves but he sucks real bad at hitting slants in stride or not throwing behind crossing routes. Witten finds the soft spot and sits on it and it's an easy completion for Dak.
We've been waiting 15 years for another TE to figure this out but either it's harder than we think or every coach since Parcells is an idiot
I think Daks contract status is affecting the offense. They pass when they dont need to just to pad Daks stats, or to use as some type of confirmation.
If you feel you have to force him to pass because you dont trust him then dont re sign him :mipls:
Zeke got paid. The offensive line got paid, so use them
Our coaching staff is too dumb to have the foresight of "let's make Dak earn this contract by calling mostly passes." They just do whatever the fukk whether it's working or not.
Also, we NEED Dak to be able to win us games by himself because Zeke will lay eggs like he did vs the Rams. If you can't pass, you can't run either because the D will just stack the box, so we have to air it out to give Zeke room to operate. That's just today's NFL.
1. Lee is fools gold, he did good for 1 game but LVE needs to be there full time.
2. BJ is a basic CB who doesn't deserve top CB money, you don't pony up big money for CBs who don't get ints.
Bro but look at Philly tho....
When your CB's suck ass the rest of your defense literally doesn't matter because even sorry ass QB's like Mitch Tribusky can storm down the field in a hurry.
If we let Byron go and Chido defaults to CB1 our D will be
status again
Usually when Dak throws 30+ it's a bad sign and it was last night as we struggled to put the game away until late. I think they are trying to make Dak prove he can be the man with all the passing attempts but the gig is, we don't need him to be the man.
Last night maybe we didn't but like I said above...we will eventually though because Zeke WILL get bottled up sometimes. And when that happens I honestly feel bad for the coaching staff because you're damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Do you keep running Zeke into 8 man boxes for 1.6 yards/carry? Or do you abandon the run and try to get back into the game with Dak's arm? Hopefully Kellen Moore can bring out the Boise St. misdirection/screen pass/play action in those situations but so far it's seemed like we refuse to go away from whatever Garrett decides is the game plan for that week.
So fire that fool
