Ricky Hatton says he wasn't the same PERIOD after the Kostya Tszyu fight and he didn't have the same feeling when he fought Mayweather. Also says he wasn't right for the Pacquiao fight either.

So, that ends that conversation:yeshrug:

And this article is from 2 months ago. Neither one of them fought the best version of Ricky Hatton according to the man himself.
That’s when the slippery slope started,’ says Hatton, 34 now but looking lean and mean again despite years of abusing his body. ‘In hindsight I recognise that my depression began after that defeat.

‘I was very upset about losing for the first time. I thought I was invincible. Then I left my trainer, Billy Graham, because injuries were making him struggle in training. That led to a court case because Billy, who, incidentally, had been my best friend, said I owed him money. It was in this environment I prepared for Pacquiao using Floyd Mayweather Snr as my trainer.
he sound like he keeping it real

Up to you what you wanna believe, cause hes saying conflicting things

bottom line when he fought floyd he was undefeated, thought he was in invincible, had his team and was in prime

when he fought manny, lost his original trainer and best friend, already lost to floyd, said he peaked too early in camp and was getting whipped by sparring partners, was abusing drugs and liquor and was depressed:yeshrug:

How are you gonna dispute the man saying that he was never the same fighter after beating Kostya Tszyu...basically saying that was his peak?:dwillhuh:

You weren't with him sparring in the gym breh:mjpls:

If that man says he was never the same:

"...the hunger I had before the Tszyu fight wasn’t the same before the Mayweather fight. It was just different. You can’t put your finger on what it is. You feel comfortable. If you feel comfortable, what do you do? You sit in your arm chair and relax. I’d reached a stage of comfort.

“By the time of the Mayweather fight, I was ‘Ricky Fatton’. I’d been going up and down in weight since I was 18. My body had been through it. I certainly didn’t feel fresh."

How can you dispute how HE felt and what HIS body was going through when he's telling you he didn't feel the same and he wasn't right?:dwillhuh:

To be honest it sounds like he's making a fair assessment of himself and he's always seemed like a humble character but he's speaking on nuances. This is like reflection in your memoirs . . no baring on reality. Going into the Mayweather fight, no fighter has anything on their mind but the fight ahead of him. He was an undefeated champion at that point. He might not of been as hungry as before but he wasn't going into that fight expecting to lose and it's not like he was just ready to accept an asswhooping just because he switched from cotton to silk boxers. I'm not saying he's wrong but wasn't a diminished fighter at that point just because he can humbly pin point the time when his hunger stopped.

It's not like he beat Tszyu and said "that's it for me, there's nothing else left for me. Time to hit the bottle" - he lost to Mayweather and said "that's it for me, there's nothing else left for me. Time to hit the bottle"

When he fought Manny he was in the wrong frame of mind . . disgruntled . . angry, not conditioned properly . . so he just ran in on him and that's why he got floored

Don't underestimate the greatness of floyds skill. Margarito was ass lets be real, so Mosley beating on Margarito then getting fukked up against Floyd probably shows how good Floyd is and how bad margarito actually was.

Shane should have hung up the gloves right after that ass whooping by Floyd.
My first time in this thread today to read the rehashed fukkery to see which nonsense will pop out to me...yesterday it was bigging up welterweight version of Ricky hatton which is a joke; today it's the above with margarito..nikkas clearly weren't watching long enough if they think he was ass
