from the home of coca-cola, i'm not referring to s
Let's stop this revisionist shyt. Shane didn't want to fight floyd when he was closer in his prime. It was high risk vs low reward. And later on he said his tooth hurt and he needed a vacation.

I'm all for shytting him for not fighting p will which he should but you nikkaz need to go ahead with that revisionist shyt.
You sound ridiculous breh
They weren't in the same weight class.. Shane was moving up to 154 while while Floydie was still a a lightweight 135 ponder around 02-03.. Floydie didn't even make it to 147 until November 2005..

The only nikka revising history is you... Shane never said he wouldn't fight Floyd after he mentioned his toothache.. Shane fought twice back to back that year and in the same interview said hes willing to fight Floyd anytime the following year... Floyd announced his retirement later that year after the Baldomir fight while crying real tears like a bytch in 06(nobody likes to bring this up).. So who was ducking who??

Fighters can and usually fight alot more than 3 times within a year when they first start out unless they are fighting serious ranked experienced pros. The more better fights the better. Shoot check any top fighters record from when they started out as an example

And why the hell would pac want to rematch cotto when he slaughtered the guy the first time around?
Aren't we talking about higher ranked fighters? :comeon::sas2:

So, if they were so far apart in weight classes then why even mention it? Floyd fought him, and beat him. Thee end.

He fought and beat him YEARS later when Shane was past his prime and hadn't been active for a year and a half... Im not even knocking Floyd for the win.. it was a solid win even with Shane being passed it... Im trying to knock this dumb nikka talk that Shane was avoiding Floyd which is bullshyt...

Its like how AB was calling out Pacquiao last year.. and years from now you might have nikkas saying Pac ducked Broner when Adrian Broner was never on Pac's radar

I don't know where you were but there was Mayweather/Mosley talk back then, Floyd wanted him for awhile and couldn't get the fight made

When floyd wanted to fight people and there was no fight, the excuses were he's not ready (cotto) I'll fight you next year I wanna fix my tooth(Mosley) (I'm not doing randomly blood testing with you( pacquaio) your not big enough (de la Hoya)

But if anyone wants to fight floyd he must find dem right away or its a duck. I don't get IT

Everybody cannot fight everybody at the whim of epiphanies. You say prime this and prime that but ODH and Shane swerved Mayweather early on. There are obstacles to making fights plus training. 3 fights/year tops early in one's career. Floyd didn't start making heavy Money until after the ODH fight. ODH was a huge A-side so MW concede. So, MW is on his paper chase now with his career winding down. Why Mayweather has to go instead of people coming down when he is the A-side? What else is there to prove on his resume? Ironically, people throw MW with ish but skate pass Pacquiao questionable resume. Pacquiao fought everybody after MW except Cotto but I guarantee Pac doesn't want that rematch. Algeri and was the best option for BS belt? Did they even fight for the belt. Miss us with this post.
You must not have read the post before mine. You're really confused. I was saying if it was like the 40s/50s when guys fought like once a month, then Floyd, along with all other fighters, would've been incentivized to take all those fight regardless of weight jumps. Sugar Ray fought Lamotta at a ridiculous weight disadvantage when he lost the first time. So Floyd could've conceivably fought most of those guys at those times if he didn't fight some of the guys he did.
You're talking a bunch of shyt that had nothing to do with my point. It wasn't about A-Sides, purses, or anything other than transporting Floyd's era into an era that was about fighting the best regardless of weight, even if it risked your record.

I'm not trying to get into who ducked who. And it wasn't me trying to castigate Floyd for his resume. Just lamenting the fact that the great $ doesn't coincide with the best always fighting the best.
