and I don't buy into the greatness of the Makaveli album. It is fantastic, don't get me wrong. But it wasn't as good as the first two. Whereas in Redman's case, you can make an argument for any of the 3 being best and they're all on an equal footing.

I think OutKast, Tribe, Redman, Cube and maybe Ghost can make a case.

What about Common? Resurrection, One Day & Like Water. Pretty great run.

Nah I think MATW and AEOM are better. More focused pieces of work and have less weak tracks.

7DT starts on fire but then the latter half has a track or two that aren't all there (Just Like Daddy and Hold Ya Head come to mind). That might have to do with the level of Pac's creative input given where he was at different stages of his album releases.

They all came out back to back, excluding the joint album with Birdman. Honestly, Kendrick will have a better 3 straight than anyone. GKMC and TPB are on a completely different level, especially when compared to his first release. TPB is hands down the best album I ever heard. TPB set a standard no rapper could ever come close to, I don't even think Kendrick's next release will come close to it but it will most likely be another 10/10 album.
