He was found guilty in the criminal trial because of stuff in the civil trial that was not supposed to be used against him. Read the appeal in the Pennsylvania Supreme Court

No, they settle because of the demand for privacy. True innocence takes it to trial. Of course it was much more messy for him to go through with the proceedings but 2005 isn’t 2015.

What changed from 2005 to 2015?

If Cosby was guilty, he'd still be in prison right now.

And true innocence does NOT take it to trial. Why would they? When they can easily give the people MONEY to go away?

I'll tell you this tho. True victims don't accept settlements and then they're good. True victims want their perp prosecuted.

Thats why the case was overturned in the PA Supreme Court. The prosecutors used things they agreed not to use against him.

If he was so guilty, why couldn't they get him without using things they weren't supposed to use? :jbhmm:

Surely they could have gotten him another way instead of using methods that they knew were unlawful.

Oh wait they tried that the first time... and they weren't able to get a conviction.

Why? Cause the man was innocent.

Define what a loophole is. Not your muddle minded definition of it. Give me the real definition of a loophole.
Overturning convictions on civil rights violations is a loophole, among many other examples such as legal ambiguities or nuances in prosecutorial proceedings or applications.

i.e. You’re guilty, you admitted parts of guilt, but because we can’t try you for the same case twice and/or we promised we wouldn’t use this against you and we did, now we have to overturn those charges.

Again, the Supreme Court had to intervene. Thats the only way he was getting off.

It was a procedural error, not something discovered to challenge Cosby’s defense or change the presentation of facts on Cosby’s behalf.

I specifically asked for the real definition, you damn fool. You aint a lawyer. :dahell:

Either give me the real definition or stop quoting me. Over there making stuff up when your dumb ass probably never even been in a US courtroom.

Without the deal he was promised, Cosby is still in jail.

That alone makes him guilty IMO.

You just legit think these women were lying on a great black man who was being unfairly targeted for exploitation as money grubbing whores :manny: I’d rather you just say this and stop these nuance games. You think he’s innocent and only was smashing and dashing jealous regretful broads who wanted to shame and attack Bill Cosby.

You dont think he was slipping drinks and drugging women or that he’s capable of doing that and would never believe it.

I’ve been on jury duty twice. One case we actually had a mistrial because of a prosecutorial error that was probably leading to a non-guilty plea of a guy who was alleged to have raped his own daughter. I’ve seen the worst of the worst.

I’ve seen first hand how guilty sex offenders can escape accountability from prosecutors who skip steps.

What step did the prosecutor skip with Bill Cosby?

He was never proven guilty of that and even in his deposition, he said he OFFERED drugs to women.

Why won't you admit that me offering drugs to you does not equal me drugging you?

Are you that much of a liar where you can't concede that point?

They have to have something if they were able to get the warrants.

Thats not true. The whole point of the warrants is to get evidence they dont have. All the legal experts are saying it came directly from the civil lawsuits. They are fishing and just trying to embarrass him. That lil rod lawsuit is a joke and if that's what they are using to justify this then he will beat this easily.
