Both cats and dogs have a unique smell breh. The point is a cat's smell is super strong. You can walk into a dog owners house and not know they have dogs however you can't say the cat about houses. Cats leave a very strong smell even in a tidy house.

If they have no smell and yet manage to stank up a whole house that should let you know how dirty they are. But cats do have a smell. It is very distinct. I sell second hand clothing. Dog smell washes out. You can't wash the smell of cat out clothing.
