...and what you got to say about some of the young and old bruhs out here who also have a stake in shaping the current state of our communities?
Do you have the courage and guts to approach the segment of young and old men within the community whose actions have also been problematic and detrimental?
It's not just the women who are the reason the community has its share of problems; generally speaking, some of us (not literally) as men also deserve some of the blame for not owning up to our responsibilities as the men of the community, whether willingly or unknowingly, the bottom line is that there's enough blame to go around, nobody is scot-free.
We're all responsible to certain degrees; the things each one of us may have done in our lives, whether intentionally or unintentionally, for better or worse, have affected those (women, children, or other men) around us.
See, it's easy as a man to put the onus on women because since you're wired to not physically fear them, you can overpower them in terms of voicing opinion and placing blame, but do you have the heart to tell some of the fellow men in our communities to do better or are you too scared of your own brothers?
Guys like OP, in some ways, are cowardly because they don't have the same energy or gut to get in a man's face and tell him to do better because they fear the potential physical reaction from those same men since y'know standing up in a random dude's face talking “this and that” can lead to a physical altercation, something guys like OP don't want.
You want your sistas to change their ways, but you ain't advocating for the brothas to do the same, and yes, brothas do need to change, including me, 'cause I ain't perfect, I'm still learning; we're all in this together.
