Man, I get having no pass rush is a big part of this. But is it me or are the Pats DB's as bad as my eyes see playing zone this year? Their is always massive holes it seems when the Pats play zone D this year. It is really annoying to watch.

Not too much to say other than last night shows why just because you're on the one yard line that NOTHING is guaranteed. That is why I never fault a coach for challenging if they get a first down on the one instead of being given a TD if it looks close. Nothing is ever a given in this year.
The muffed snap definitely hurt, but I don't mind the call to Gronk. You're going with your two best players against a defensive player that's not great in coverage. Gronk just got his feet tangled up a little and stumbled. Great game, tough loss.

My heart stops whenever they're in zone defense. But our DBs also get burned when in man coverage.
