Sometimes we have to work with people that are known racists, people we don't like just for a pay check. In Hollywood, I bet it is like that as well. Hollywood is general is competitive even for white actors. There are many directors who are notorious to work with (Fincher) but people work with them anyway. As far as black actors, the parts are even harder to come by. Samuel L. Jackson, is basically getting what he can.
