Lol at fakkits talking about realistic dialogue. Are you serious right now?:childplease:

The only reason he is so famous is because his movies have such stylistic violence.

People back in the day were like ":krs: Taratino movie? Somebody getting their head chopped off" :banderas:
what the fukk exactly is "realistic" dialogue????? If a movie had "realistic" dialogue it would probably be a pretty fukking boring ass movie. He's so famous because he is an incredible writer, yeah his movies have really entertaining violence but his pen game is sick

:beli: I was speaking to the other poster who was talking about the dialogue in his movies being "realistic", as in that is how people in real life speak.

His movies are not really that entertaining. :ld:

Again it is that stylist graphic violence that keeps people coming back.

And for the breh talking about George Lucas, are you serious with that shyt?

He made Jar Jar Binks and the c00nery known as Red Tails.

I know you were, I just thought the concept of "realistic" dialogue in movies that have no basis in reality is nonsensical. It blows my mind that someone would think QT's movies aren't "entertaining" but everyone has their own opinions, but most people would completely disagree with you. And I just don't agree that stylistic graphic violence is what people go to his movies for, because I sure as fukk know it's not what I go to his movies for and violence isn't what made QT famous, writing and directing really well is what got him awards and accolades.

Samuel L Jackson attended Martin Luther King Jr's funeral and was in the black power movement, y'all really think he would continue doing movies with someone who is somehow deeply racist? Look, you all can dislike him using the n word in his movies, but to sit here and say he is definitely a racist or that he only casts black people so he can say the n word is fukking retarded, especially considering Reservoir Dogs had no black people in the movie and he still used the word. Yeah, Quentin is a quirky weird motherfukker, that's why he's so good at creative writing and directing movies. I'm not saying you have to like him or his movies but to keep beating this drum that he is racist is absolutely silly.

If he keeps putting racist shyt in his movies then it can and should be brought up. "Samuel L. Jackson was at MLK's funeral" is not a good enough reason to give him immunity. I like his movies, I don't think he "hates" black people but he has an undeniable pattern of doing wack racist shyt...

Native of the NYC, getting fed in the Big D!
I don't know why this made me laugh, deeply insidious? lmaoo
Lol yeah, breh.
Maybe I'm looking too much in it but the rape scene was meant to emasculate all brehs...not just Marsellus:francis:

Didn't matter if he was bangin' and pawgin' in this. That act nullifies his purpose and in the process, ensures that cacs still got the control.

What does this have to do with the usage of the N word in his films though? And what exactly does homosexuality have to do with anything we're talking about? his movies aren't all homages to certain film genres either..a couple of them are...most of them aren't..

And winning two best screenplay awards means that the academy "loves" him? the fukk? Breh at this point you just sound like you're hating
You asked what old white people are watching his films and i answered :mindblown:

What films arent homages :mindblown: all of them are, just different genres

Some of us aren't entertained by some closeted racist who finds way to drop n bombs in every movie he makes.

I feel all of this but let's be real here, his movies don't typically have "good" people in them.

I can't say whether or not the dialogue is realistic because I don't associate with pimps, gangsters, career criminals, etc. But I imagine being politically correct wouldn't be high on their list of priorities.

Having said all that, he could dial it back some. I think a lot of the criticism he receives stems from him casting himself in "Pulp Fiction". Dude is a terrible actor and there was no reason for him specifically to deliver those lines.

Fred.

i get your criticisms of tarantinos overuse of the N word, and thats fair, but Jackie Brown alone, giving Pam Grier that role. thats better than anything any non black director has done for a black woman in the last 2 decades than i can remember . Jackie Brown is a bona fide great film imho.

plus i dont think his N word fascination is because he is racist, he just thinks it makes him or his films more "authentic", which it doesnt, at least not the amount of time the words are included, but his heart is the right place i feel.

Not even all that familiar with him but if he did Beverly Hills Cop and Enemy of the State then he's the GOAT

yeah that dude is underrated in hollywood pantheon. True Romance alone is enough to put him up there.
