An American citizen can protest the American flag or the national anthem and keep his state govt. job. In several states, that same person can lose their state govt. job if they participate in BDS, protesting the policies of a foreign govt.
Jews are a unique asset to the United States, where the Diaspora is most concentrated. So long as Jews live in the America, it will remain an unrivaled superpower. Less than 2% of the population but akin to that one Jenga block that causes the tower to collapse upon removal. Therefore the country has an obligation to keep its Jewish population safe by whatever necessary preventative measures it can. Since Israel is the only Jewish country, the US has an obligation to Israel, too. Anti-Semitic movements in the US, even if directed towards Israel, lead to Jew-hatred against its own Jewish population (guilt by association). It seems this is part of the process, B"H. Just as Noach spent 120 years building the ark, the redemption which began again in Israel in 1948 is just the beginning of the process.

28 states and counting, B"H. But what does this have to do with the United Kingdom? The question was about the United Kingdom, not America. But no, I don't believe this to be (Jewish) control. I believe it is Divine Dispensation from Hashem since the overwhelming majority of the Diaspora resides in the US, thus He chooses the US to be uniquely stringent against anti-Semitic movements (e.g., BDS); specifically, that which is directed towards Israel, as its being the mere size of New Jersey and the only Jewish nation-state in the world adds greatly to its vulnerability. The Torah states clearly that the nations would be blessed in the Jewish People. Every nation that welcomes the Jews becomes a powerful nation regardless of its inevitable anti-Semitism. From the beginning when Yaakov, Yosef, and the rest of Bnai Yisroel descended to Egypt, it is clear that wherever the Jews go they are the highlight of the place, for which reason every king (or today, president), even in nations in which it has come to expulsions and forced conversions, has a Jew at his side.
