Yeah, he's been saying that pro-black stuff since season 1. Almost all of the show's buzz was around his first scene. People loved it. And, honestly, the powers that be aren't threatened by an actor doing a performance like that in a safe Hollywood studio. So saying they got rid of him merely for doing more of that doesn't scan for me.
From all the shyt I've read, it feels like:
- Season 2 was struggling
- They knew Orlando was talented and could write
- They tried to double dip - get him to continue acting AND write but not paying him for writing
- He said that's racist - where it could've just been Hollywood doing something fukked up (and doing something fukked up to a black person is almost always a little racist)
- He's not sufficiently a pushover and "just happy for the opportunity" so they canned him for being "difficult"
I never trusted this bytch ass nikka, Whittle anyway and he got out acted every scene him and Orlando had together. Hell every scene with him and another actor he got embarrassed. He's one of those biracial UK clowns who don't want to upset the establishment to keep the check flowing b/c he sucks at everything else he's been in. He scared b/c SAG is gonna shut that show down for the bullshyt they tried to pull on Orlando. What black man accuses another black man of using "the race card"? I've never even heard of no shyt like that. The showrunners got their "boy" to try and make amends but from that text you see what type of time he on.

That Whittle nikka was literally the worst part of the show (I only watched S1).
He's a garbage actor, and I honestly don't know why they picked someone so shytty to carry so much of the show.
And he's clearly a go-along-to-get-along/don't wanna rock the boat-ass nikka based on these DMs.

The crazy thing is that after he left they had nothing with Jesse Alexander and had to run to Orlando to write for them. Boy I tell ya fukking idiots.
