Not finished with seasons 2, on episode 9, but there are some inconsistencies with these women. One, red being feble and scared? I dont care if it was her first day, that's a big contrast to how they portrayed her pre-prison last season. Rosa isn't Eastern European! Her accent had Russian all over it then for her to be set it off Spanish Harlem? What was the point in the back sories of the black girls not to show what landed them in prison? I don't mind that piper wasnt the focus, but the show seems very disjointed in the way they're jumping between characters, i feel like the plot for the happenings in prison are taking forever to advance. Mendez back? Really? That was a cheap way to bring an obstacle into the fold.
I still got 4-5 more episodes, so I'll reserve judgment, but so far, this season isn't as good as the first.

I've never seen this show but have heard it's good. I know it's set in a woman's prison. Is it kind of like a female Oz? Or just as good?

You're over thinking it. I liked the younger actress tho. I aint gon' lie, I was confused as fukk when they started that flashback tho.
It's hard to comment in thread when you don't know if it's going to be spoiled or not and everybody watches it at their own pace. Netflixes format is a win for us but it's terrible for forums and twitter live sessions.
martiza better get a backstory, plus more screen time. all the scenes with that annoying dark girl with the tatted cholo boyfriend should go to martiza instead.. i think they showed that bytch like 6 times sittin across the table from her bf and their baby
Low key her cholo boyfriend was one of my favorite non-important characters. Dude would be just sitting there with the straight face while she was yapping.
A few observations:
1. Ending was so wack. They could have done a lot better with that
2. Piper is the worst character ever. I wanted to skip through all of her scenes. When she gave that little speech about her being a wolf I legit laughed. It was so corny. Like seriously who is afraid of an over privileged suburban white woman??? GTFOH
3. My bae Poussey had a big part this season
4. Red is a beast. Love her.
5. They need to kill Soso. Worst character next to Piper.
Can't wait for Season 3.

I know they aren't just going to kill off Vee like that. That was the most laziest writing I have ever seen. They set up everything else pretty well for the third season though

I thought it was beyond ridiculous how much the black girls and the girls in general let Vee punk them like that.
These are supposed to be convicts right? How is it plausible that every single one of these inmates don't ever fukk her old ass up when she's stepping to them like she was? She should of got her ass beat numerous times this season.
