Honestly, this is my issue with him whether he's a talented comedy wrestler or if he's a mediocre wrestler playing a smark bait character. There is a difference. Comedy wrestlers work for their laughs smark bait is fans ironically cheering for goof shyt. Like imagine if a chubby wrestler showed up at Fullsail and called himself the Pig-o-nator while wearing bacon theme tights and oinking every time he takes a bump I'm pretty sure he'd be the most over guy there if we were to go by pops but at the same time fans don't really give a shyt about the guy they are just playing along with the other fans. A lot of lousy wrestlers are appealing to live crowds by doing corny shyt like that. Gimmicks and character are good and comedy wrestlers have their place but this is still supposed to be a fake fight. Now I will say this I enjoyed his appearance at the last AEW show and his ability to stay in that character, I'm sure if he was on Lucha Underground I'd be a fan but I suspect he'll get too much free reign to play up the worst parts of his gimmick the slow speed combos and such.
