I'm still trynna figure out how D&D got to this point and how the hell are they gonna explain Bran in the throne.
Like, I can picture GRMM telling them the main points:
George: Jon isn't dead, and y'all were right, he's Lyanna's and Rhaegar's kid and rightful heir to the throne.
D&D: "
"
George: White Walkers don't win, not gonna tell you more about it.
D&D:
we figured they took the L but we got this Night King character...welp, we'll figure out how to beat him.
George: Dany becomes mad queen
D&D: Of course she does
George: It's complicated though, I'm not even sure how I'm gonna write her gradually going mad and eventual downfall...
D&D:
but we only got like 25 episodes left George and we still haven't gotten around taken her out of Mereen...I guess she gotta lose eveything that made her different and leave no other choice than to go crazy. We'll get there.
Like, yeah. I can see him giving them those guidelines. But...Bran? :
George: Bran becomes the new leader of Westeros
D&D:
wow, didn't saw that one coming! Ok, we'll make him show the audience the biggest reveals of the series but we can't spend time on the mythology and magic stuff too much so we can't make him a big piece of information for the characters in the show....we also gonna make sure to remind the audience every chance we get that Bran DOES NOT want to rule at all, and that he's far removed from being a lord, that he's practically in a different dimension than the rest of the characters so he doesn't see ruling or leading as a thing anymore....but we'll figure out a way to make him rule anyway at the last minute.
