Freefolk and ASOIAF are pissed
Whatever the ending it’s GRRM approved brehI pray to god these theories are wrong.
I did not watch this show 8 years for this lame ass ending. Now I know how people who watched Lost felt. D&D shouldn’t be let near any other IP if they’re not going to take it serious enough to end the show properly. They’re not the first show writers to go beyond the books. So many shows have gone beyond the books they were adapting and they were able to make good tv. Like for real, come on son. HBO wanted 10 episodes too. They could’ve and should’ve flushed this out better.
Bro i can’t even IMAGINE.
Bran can’t even sire heirs. Dude would be almost useless in a council meeting warging into the past while Tyrion is organizing jousting tournaments and Varys is whistling to his little birds
The ending came From GRRM
D&D have said many times, including last week, that their ending is different. Bran is about 10 years old in the books. If you believe GRRM is going to make a 10 year old king, I have an island to sell you.
Tommen is like 9 in the books.
Wouldn't you say that's entirely different, as Tommen becomes king via succession and at no point is even "ruling" anything - Tyrion and later Cersei and then Kevan rule for him. On the flip side, a council deciding that a 10 year old boy is best suited to rule the 7 Kingdoms is not gonna happen.
But why Bran? He's a young, inexperienced, weird as hell, a cripple, and doesn't really care about any of this shyt because he's the three eyed raven. Plus Sansa is right there. It most definitely can happen. There are no more Tyrells/Lannisters/etc. The Stark's are a high ranking noble house. It's not out of the realm of possibility to be honest. The fact a council decides it makes it even more likely. Plenty of examples throughout history especially in Asian countries of ministers overthrowing a King and placing a child in his place as a puppet.
This assumes that we don't get some large time skip in the books that makes it more palatable.
I mean whatever the real ending Is came from him we don’t know what’s real yet . But I’m starting to realize how it’s not just D and D I mean they seem to be saving more about the nightking for the spinoff and more about the targs hbo and GRRM being slick .This shyt gotta be fake. Ain't no more white walkers. No use putting Jon back on the wall.
Yea man...that has to be one of the fake endings that was shot. It makes no fukking sense.
I read a spoiler that Sansa supposedly betrays Tyrion. That would piss me off so bad. And Bran as king? Dumbest shyt ever.
All I want is for Sansa to be Queen in the North, for Dany to die and for Arya to go away.
Supposed screenshots, eh?
Brienne and Jamie...PUUUUUUKE.
Sansa’s betrayed every single member of her family.
I mean I can see an end game with Bran as King. An all knowing God King could usher in a reign of peace that could last generations. His omniscience would make Westeros as a country unbreakable. If he is able to pass on his consciousness and rule permanently then that is a very twisted happily ever after that is kind of fukked up if you think about it. The wheel would actually be broken by this stranglehold on the throne. I could see GRRM going there.
But what I don't think the show has set up at all is why anyone in Westeros would support his ascension to the throne. They say a council votes on it but why would any of the great lords (which are unnamed so basically dont exist in the show until its convenient) support people like Sam and Tyrion and Davos and Bronn on this great council. It really doesn't make any sense because the showrunners haven't bothered to lay any foundation down for a Bran ascension to have any support beyond a few individuals that by themselves don't hold much power.
