Lies and fallacies Black people go to school in Yeezus and Vans You get clowned for not looking fresh.

It isn’t about money. These classes aren’t that expensive. The same for football camps

There's teachers on here that'll tell you about the students in these classes and how they act.

:heh: :heh: :heh: The Jordan’s and iPhone argument has now morphed into Yeezy’s and Vans.

If you think SAT prep classes aren’t expensive, it just shows me you haven’t paid or participated in any.

If you would have said there are free options or assistance, you would have had a point, but you just wanted to play the typical “black folks spend money on Jordan’s but not books” card.

I didn't do great on mine but I also bought into some bullshyt I heard about the SAT not being a test you needed to study for. If I did I'm sure I'd have reached 1200. I doubt 1400 I wasn't gonna grind for that math score to dwarf 600.

Preparation is everything.

And sadly those Black people are the rule and not the exception. Even among parents. They’ll say we “don’t care” about education, but how many of those parents have gotten their child a tutor? Or even taken advantage of the low cost and even free tutoring or SAT prep courses that can be found in many places?

But those same parents can probably tell you what happened on the latest episode of Real Houswives

Preach. The resources ARE OUT THERE even if you don't have. MAKE TIME.

Cooperativeness is important. A kid can't study if his parents are yelling at each other.

you really don't think the asian parents argue? :comeon: they aint superhumans
plus many broke people argue too i would imagine probably more so.
there was literally a thread on here based on a man saying "ladies we don't care about your degrees and career, that's for bums" shyt was completely illogical.
finally, cooperativeness goes both ways especially if it means your child will be better off but we never hear that part of the equation :sas2:i don't think i've ever seen a male post about his cooperativeness lmao

How many $3000 SAT courses have you paid for?
Another point that ties into what I was mentioning, when it came to paying for entire course completion, I never had to negotiate prices with asian students. If I went through the syllabus and work and determined the working hours and thus a price of $1500+, they never complained, they were probably ready to pay any price.

In truth, if you look at spending a couple thousand on a child's education as too much, talking long before college, you couldn't fathom what these parents are ready to throw at their child's development, beyond just education. In fact, although I dipped into a bit earlier, the lady that really got me into providing school services was an assistant professor, she was working on her post-graduate studies at the time, but all of the money she was making was going to her child's private schooling. She was retiring from these services at the time only because she had finally saved up enough to pay for the entirety of the child's private schooling, and I'm talking covering it until HS graduation. :dead: I remember being dumbfounded when she said that shyt to me, here I was spending the money on games and PC parts and this lady just secured private schooling for her child. Yeah, affluent people play the game differently, that's what is really "built different", a recognition of the numbers and how they trend to success in adolescent development and simply following that path.

Here we go again. Typical Tom response: no context, hand wringing and finger pointing. I can point you to THOUSANDS of black kids over the past few decades who were honor roll students and had both parents active in their school life who did absolutely horrible on the SAT. What was their excuse? Let me guess: that’s different.

You can point to many issues regarding education in the black community. Using the SAT to highlight those issues is, and has always been, bullshyt.

They clearly did not prepare for the test if they did horrible on it.

The excuses in here…smh

Most people DO NOT take SAT prep courses that cost thousands of dollars. FOH.

My friends and I just studied. We had test prep books that we borrowed from the library.

These scores are atrocious and embarrassing. As a group, we should be ashamed. All the handwringing over “passport bros” and “high value men” and this is the result? Kids who can’t break 1,000 on the SAT?

Do you know how much shyt my kids would be in if they brought home these kinds of scores? They know better - they’d rather take the test over and over until they hit a score they know their parents will accept. We work too hard for them to act like they were raised by morons.

Cut the bullshyt. These scores are what they are because black adults are selfish, have kids they refuse to invest in, and mate with low IQ people. Period.

Just stop already.
