If you come from the 'casual fans want more passing' camp, we have nothing to talk about. I don't give two shyts about ratings or what a popcorn infused average fans likes to see.
Football is a game of many facets and the NFL simply keeps devaluing it into passing spree with one facet being favored by all rules. And you're ok with it because it takes skill to pass the ball? Lol ok. So does staying with a receiver who knows the play and you don't. So does shedding a block from a beefy olineman and getting to the ballcarrier before he's able to burst through the hole. Many things in football take skill, but you want to focus on only one aspect to please all the casual fans![]()
Just say you prefer running to passing then, don't get on some "back in my day" old man bullshyt. QB's have always been the stars of the league and in general, the most important position in the NFL, but even back when Baltimore won the Superbowl with that D everyone said QB's were overrated and you could win with a journeyman. There's never been a period in NFL history where SOME position wasn't devalued in some aspect.
