Why is it a good thing?

Football is a complex game that has many facets. This trend makes the NFL (football at highest level) more one-dimensional. It's bad enough way more emphasis is placed on scoring that the defenses are faced with a huge handicap, but now the passing is getting skewed. As a result football is pushing more and more about qb and the rest, when the game is a team game about 22 men vs 22 men.

Why would anyone want to play an ILB nowadays? The pay is shyt, you're at a disadvantage most of the time (being on defense is already a disadvantage because of its reactive nature) , you're less popular than the qb even if you're elite and be isn't, and teams think you're replaceable enough.

The game is becoming a finesse far cry from the game I love. Maybe if you view football as pure entertainment and storyline bullshyt, its ok to you. It's not ok to me, I don't watch football for entertainment or bullshyt stories. I want to see a game played fairly. What I see is instead is pussification and penalize toon of football plays.

The whole concussion thing is a joke. Football is a physical sport. You will get hit hard. So is boxing. You will get hit hard. I'm fine with a qb or a high stature player being out for the year - that's how shyt is, football is physical. I don't care for clowns who watch for entertainment factor not getting entertained as a result of talent getting injured. Talented players getting injured is a part of the game of football. Trying to turn it into flag football is despicable.

Miss me with all this doomsday, sky is falling shyt. Yeah football is a complex game, what is more complex than passing the football? You need a coach on the sideline to call the right play, and at least 7 players on the field (QB/WR/5 OL) to all be on the same page for one specific play in order to make it work. This is the style of football the majority of fans want to see, as evidenced by TV ratings in recent years. And there's a lot more that goes into it than just NFL rules changes - more emphasis is being placed on offense at a younger age with all the 7 on 7 passing leagues and private QB camps, that leads to more skilled QB's and WR's coming out of HS and college and better passing offenses in the NFL.

I laugh when people say the QB position is poor league wide in other threads :russ:

Just cuz your teams qb ain't throwing 5000 yards doesn't mean the qb position isn't the strongest it's ever been
 stop it

qb's are eating because of the rule changes, not cause they just suddenly got better

NFL is still the best football league in the world, simply by the virtue of the best talent gathered there and parity. How this talent is being classified and utilized and marketed is another question.
:usure:.if its american football u talkin about then yes...:pachaha:

Ratings are high because of gambling and fantasy not because of more passing

Matt Stafford passed for more yards in a season than Joe Montana, Steve Young, Kurt Warner, Warren Moon or Dan Fouts :beli: shyt's jokes.
And who thinks that Stafford is better than any of those players?:krs:

Oh that's right, no one:mjlol:

The receivers are carrying these qbs cause the dbs aren't allowed to do anything. But running teams win. So its whatever during the regular season but only a team with a good rushing attack will win the bowl most likely.
Tom Brady just threw 50 passes and 4 TDs to lead the Pats to the SB against the Seahawks, stop it breh.

So compare not watching tv to people telling you to uproot your life....had to include a "cac'ism" for cheap daps? Ain't you half cac?

And anyway, I may have replied differently if someone else made this thread, but thru your posting it's clear you spend numerous hours caring about the nfl, watching other teams, trying to break down game film...so yea, a product that disgusts you so much you spend 1/4? 1/3? Of your free time ingesting ?:childplease:

As for the bolded...if you feel that way, then who cares it became pass friendly?

Edit: i personally don't care for the pass happy league either, but moreso because of how they neutered defensive players.
Yeah I was fishing for all those 4 daps :childplease: I don't post for daps

First, yeah I'm mixed so I use those words very sparingly. When I do I mean them.

Second, I'm not sure what else I should've compared it to because you still don't seem to get it. You're saying basically 'if you don't like something shut up and take what you're given or not take it at all'. Sorry, not finna happen.

I complain precisely because I love football and NFL. I will always love football, and I hope to always love the NFL, but trend's been concerning
