Context matters if your in the education field and stand on free speech. So they shouldve asked if she supports people calling for genocide of all races,depending on the context. Wouldve been easy to find out if its personal against jews,or if she was just thinking too hard,and her stance is based on principle.
Personally i dont see how you can be okay with innocent Palestenians being killed based on what Hamas did. But not be okay with innocent Jewish civillians being killed based on what Jewish elites did( using there power and influence to get access to the land,building "open air prisons"). Its the same logic other than there are fewer elites than there are Hamas members.
If you can call for the genocide of innocent civillians or be okay with it,under the guise of self defense. I dont see how thats different than calling for genocide. Its easy to stand on the idea no innocent people deserve to be killed
