I completely agree that you can anti-Israel and not antisemitic. I fall in that category. But the Jewish students at colleges who have made complaints have stated that protesters have come up to them and called for the death of all Jews to their face. That shouldn't be tolerate on college campuses. If a bunch of white boys hold a protest on campus protesting an African nation or blacks in general, then start calling for the death of blacks, going up to black people on campus and saying your kind will be destroyed, that protest would get shut down. (And yes, I know things like that happened in the 60s and Jim Crow era, but im talking about now). People are not trying to have another Charlottesville incident.

If someone challenges your views of Israel and they mention the Hamas attack, the 1st thing you should do is condemn that attack. These bleeding heart naive college kids start off the conservation justifying the Hamas attack, which is just stupid. You lose the argument for supporting terrorism and massacre of innocent people.

Justifying the Hamas attack isn't dumb; however, it's dumb to say in this political environment. Personally, I don't see any good guys in this situation and it's not like Israel where innocent bystanders who did no wrongs against the Palestinian people. This is two wrongs not making a right. As for college campuses, I find it interesting all it looks were accusations of death to Israelis moving all the way to a hearing in Congress. Yet, for any other group they'll need proof.

Justifying the Hamas attack isn't dumb; however, it's dumb to say in this political environment. This. They are really clutching their pearls harder than I've seen any group of people in recent memory - getting people fired, blaming other races for not standing with their genocide, etc.

It's not going to age well for sure.

Right now they're being played/used by MAGA to garner outrage and get some minorities out of positions that MAGA wants for themselves (to try and get more conservatives at University positions for example). Once MAGA is done with them they won't be able to come back to the Liberals/Democrats the same way and act like they're an underdog (as they've also tried to get many of them out of their positions). They've abused the tactic to play both sides.

Whatever they need to accomplish they need to do it in this window and something grand because this will not scale well for them long term. Whatever it is, it got to be worth the long term backlash and soiled reputation this has generated that's only getting worse for them.
