This is a joke. Kendrick wasn't selling or doing shyt. He lowkey had the industry behind him. But still didn't. Drake gave that nikka a solo song on one of the biggest albums of the year. ASAP has said out his own mouth Drake helped put him on. Same way ASAP helped Playboi Carti. U can hate that nikka Drake and still be honest. We grown men bro.
Nikka too invested in picking sides and some faux real hip hop virtue signaling

These nikkas must be ingrates in real life

I had a good laugh reading OP. I literally (and I'm not trolling) never heard of a single artist that blew up because of Drake. That's all narrative he tried to create in order to have a legacy :mjlol:

One could say he's actually the least influential artist of his generation, despite the success he has.
But hey...you can't ask his fans to think, they're not qualified and usually lack musical knowledge...probably the least qualified audience in all of music.
This is true.
Kendrick's buzz had nothing to do with Drake.
However, like Joe Budden said, Kendrick gave Drake the best track on Take Care, helped Drake again on fukkin problem by having the only quotable of the entire song, and gave Drake's free exposure with this beef.

Drake better give Kendrick extra $$$ for what he did for him.

Kendrick did have the industry behind him. He was a product of the interscope machine. Which is why people saying Drake "put him on" is a joke too:mjlol:

There was alot done to force Kendrick down our throats imo. From placements,to being "Dres new protege",cosigns, that time Dre Snoop and Game organically gathered to pass the torch to Kendrick:mjlol:.

Do i actually have proof,of course not. But I just know the way rap nikkas move. And history shows they dont move how they move for somebody lacking buzz like Kendrick was. Unless of course Kendrick was secretely a goon and had all these dudes to shook to decline.

Drake was just a fraction of the kitchen sink they threw to get Kendrick some real traction. Do you actually agree with the OP? You know damn well this is hardly "putting somebody on". When you compare it to how past generations of rappers put people on.

nikkas on here really pushing false narratives :mjlol:
It's funny seeing Drake fans trying to act like he had something to do with these rappers success. It was all good look for him:why:.

I still remember people saying "Drake might actually be a legit rapper, Kendrick is featured on his tour" :mjlol:

“The transition from doing 2,000 venues to doing this 10,000 is a lil sketchy I really gotta work some magic and step my game all the way up…Drake holding us down putting us out there to see this crowd we ain’t never seen before”

Drake is probably the biggest fraud in hip hop history, and so are his fans.
Lol at thinking being featured on Take Care was helpful for Kendrick. This has been considered as the best song on the album, that's literally a gift at this point.

The hype for GKMC would have did good regardless. Money Trees is the biggest song on that album.
