One Piece Odyssey -PS4/PS5/XBOX Series/PC 1/12/23

I played the demo, this is my type of game, I always love a jrpg turned-base battle. Def gonna cop it

I fukk with this game, only problems are its a bit easy (hoping they can up the difficulty) and the resolution is blurry and wack.

I also wish they could have got an english dub for it, reading subtitles over the course of a long ass rpg is not the move for me. But the battle system is mad inventive and fresh for a turn based rpg. I like the idea of battle conditions and having split groups fighting different enemies on top of strength/weakness factor from different characters.

It really does feel like you’re playing One Piece with how battles play out in the manga/anime, like having to rescue people on your team. Dope game, im wondering if the story will be solid though, im still kind of lost on the overall One Piece story.

I don't like English dub, I always prefer to Japanese with English sub when come to watching Japanese anime. It would definitely be the best choice if you are looking for a pure anime experience IMO

I’m one of those people that will choose a bad dub over subtitles, unless its like a Korean or japanese movie. I just dont want to stay focused on the bottom half the screen while im actively playing the game, especially since these characters have little conversations back and forth while you’re traversing the map.

I do the same when I binge anime, i just prefer the dub

I played the demo but after fighting the boss it just started over at opening cut scene. Was that a glitch?

Seems like its two demos in one. The first part is from an older trade show demo and then it resets and the new part that carries over to the final game starts. Kinda weird choice to put the more advanced part first.
