You said that Omni is doing things to provoke the Feds to come after him, this implies that he is "annoying" them. Being annoyance is not a crime. They cannot do anything to him without proper legal grounds. Omni defense will be based on negligent investigation, malicious prosecution and misfeasance. The Feds have to be extra careful because cases are won/and loss on technicalities...everything they do to him must be legal, again if their process was illegal, and they obtain evidence against Omini during that process, that shyt will be thrown out of Court.

It’s some shyt called HDCP which is how the companies protect they on demand content. The device had to be HDCP compliant or in other words, be an authorized subscriber of the content.
