Ye has a healthy sex life

word up son you go home to some Kim K will get the creative juices flowing...

you go to kelis, well, lets just say hehehe, theres a reason he named his first album after marrying the troll HIP HOP IS DEAD. He had enough.

I'm going to chalk this up to you trolling. If not, this is next level stanning when someone is bringing up another man's sex life in a thread having nothing to do with that.

On some real shyt. Didn’t u say Nas don’t like to redo shyt. U called it. I never knew that was a thing. When u said it. I didn’t pay it no mind. Seem like u we’re right

That's different. With the recent albums, Nas was working directly with the producer and engineer so the things I mentioned were choices he made alongside them. With Nasir, Nas rapped over different beats than were on the album. His vocals were then mixed onto different beats (at the literal last minute, by Mike Dean), he didn't hear the final project until the end and apparently didn't spend much of any time with Kanye. It was a half assed rush job and Nas got fukked by the incompetence of Kanye and Mike Dean.

Kanye reached out to Nas to do that project. Nas was working on something else. I wish that prohect qould have came out instead of that Nasir project. Kanye had Nas on beats he jacked and an album cover he jacked from the same artist.

I would have tried to scrap it, dunno what the label politics were. IIRC it was his last Def Jam album right. Maybe he said fukk it I'm free now. Maybe it plays a role in why he's been so focused on releasing music since then.

If I'm a noteworthy rapper and Kanye calls me in 2017 to do an album...I'm doing it. Virtually everyone would do that. In hindsight we know the motive was to fukk with Drake's release window, and we know he is mentally unwell to the point only one of those projects came out competently (Pusha, which was done first). But at the time it made sense and I was extremely excited for the album. All the Nas tracks Kanye had previously done were dope. It made sense. Sadly it came out terribly.

fukk Mike Dean.

Anybody blaming Nas in 2023 for how Nasir turned out is smoking crack. Multiple people have broken down what really happened and idiots still think Nas should have done something like get the album cancelled or delayed it. How can you stop an album from coming out the day before release and you haven't even heard the final version, full of beats you didn't even rap to? The album was made in a week. Kanye treated it like a high school English paper, and it wasn't even finished at the release party.

Nothing was stopping that album from coming out when it did. It's clear that Kanye didn't give himself or Nas enough time to make the album great, but the seven-song album marathon had to go on. When Jay-Z was making Kingdom Come, L.A. Reid told Young Guru that the album had to come out by the end of 2006 because multiple jobs were on the line. Jay was doing shows at the time and he would have to record immediately afterwards in order to get the album done. That's why he sounds weird for most of it because his voice was tired from the touring. But the album had to come out when L.A. said.

If Kanye had played his cards right, who knows? Maybe he could have produced six Nas albums in three years. But we'll never find out.
