I think Michael Jackson had his issues. I think him having children around him was for two reasons:

1) They reminded him of a pureness and innocence. Mike was raised as a Jehovah's Witness. From what I've read about Mike, he was very strong about his religion. So him seeing those orgies from family members who were supposed to be of the same faith probably did something to him. From my understanding, he grew up to think of sex as disgusting.

2) When he was a child, he probably had few interactions with other children that weren't relatives

3) All the holidays that young children adore, he couldn't celebrate because of his faith.

Negro please. He was a smart business man and a genius with the music but when it comes to sleepovers with boys all of a sudden he has "trauma" and "mental issues?"




I love Mike too but atleast I'm realistic. I throw these questions out there to see who's being realistic or who's caught up in fandom.

Some people do it as a coping mechanism to stress and anxiety and it's usually not a conscious choice. The issue with Mike is, given his obvious childhood abuse concerning sexuality and religious zealotry, you give someone like that enough money, power and influence to isolate himself from the rest of society, he doesn't have to play by everyone else's rules and can exile anybody who might try and check him on it.

Regression, mental illness or not, he wasn't an inept man-child who was oblivious to how things looked yet he kept up with his behavior, regardless of consequences. Patterning himself after Peter Pan seems innocent enough til you watch those movies or better yet read the books as an adult and see how he was using his magical powers (money) to distract the children in the story (and in the audience) from the fact that he was trying to keep them at a certain level of reasoning for his own fulfillment, whatever that may be. You can't go well he just related more to children without acknowledging that a part of child hood is exploring your sexuality.
