A lot of those eastcoast MCs were also selling records in the west and midwest. I honestly didn't hear much about him when I was younger.

Public Enemy, Rakim, KRS One, Big Daddy Kane had attention from NYC to LA.

Not sure if that is the reason but having millions more people knowing about you certainly helps.

but Ty said G Rap was too busy fukking with the streets than treatin rap as a business

I was just listening to The Symphony friday in the whip....and thought to myself...G Rap is basically the father of mafioso crack rap- random bullshyt i think about when im driving

and it's not like ra had huge radio records on follow the leader & let the rhythm hit 'em and both albums went gold. hmm.....

i don't think road to the riches, wanted dead or alive or 4,5,6 are forgettable but can't front you're right, g rap really doesn't have any classics

i'm sure we'll agree that rakim does.... but what about kane, you think he got any classics?
