Face is a legend. But most of his production was saccharine and sounded like east listening R&B for white people. I’m taking Devante over him all day. And Jodeci over B2M even though Boyz were way bigger
:comeon:

Waiting to Exhale or Toni Btaxton first album were not for black people?

A lot of you are wilding.

Yes, because there’s only two singers in Jodeci. Devante IMO was a better producer and song writer than BabyFace… not taking anything away from latter because he’s one of the greatest but Devante was a beast with those keys, guitar and lyrics.

Boyz Two Men were vocally superior but just like Whitney, their music was so inoffensive and bland I just couldn’t take to it. I still play Jodeci today. Can’t remember anytime I’ve purposely listened to B2M.
You are way way tf out of pocket

Jodeci always been a soft spot for me

I liked B2M too, funnily enough I always thought Blackstreet were the edgier version of B2M

Then explain R.Kelly

r-kelly moved away from public announcement and kept making non-R&B commercial hits (many times backed by R&B/hip hop remixes)

also his appearances on songs by commercial and leading rappers ... e.g nas, jay z, p diddy kept him on top

r kelly was the rap colab (and production), r&b go-to guy before t-pain, akon, nate dogg
