I was at the Orlando Arena for a draft day party, because I just KNEW .. that MY Magic would draft MY favorite player, from MY favorite college .. to make damn near one of the most dominating front courts in the history of the game...

And then when we did .. I was in ecstasy .. for about 4 minutes.

When they traded Webber for Penny .. all I could remember was (i was a young jit.. so cut me some slack) .. me yelling out NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!! What the hell ?!?!?!!?!?!?! This guy cant even spell his name right ?!?!!?!? What the hell is an AnFERnee??? Its Anthony you fool !!!!

I got so mad .. I remember jumping out of my seat .. (the party was held IN the arena) .. and when i jumped out.. that arena was so shytty .. that the armrests came off .. and I threw them onto the court. Yelling n shyt.

2 mintes later .. I had security look at me like and ask me .. wtf is wrong with you kid .. I told him it was a shytty pick .. and dude said 'why you breaking and throwing shyt?' .. i told him it was an accident.. but I hope the armrests found a way to hit Pat Williams in the head .. and thats where dude just gave me the .



I was escorted out.



At the end of the day .. Penny became my all time favorite player.

If it wasn't for the refs, Webber would have at least 1 ring, then all this stupid talk would stop. He was the main reason the Kings were dominant for years, the closest modern comparison I can think of is maybe a cross between KD, Deron Williams, and Kevin Love. He had all the attributes of a 2 guard with respects to handles, could shoot the long range and take you off the dribble like a point-forward, and passed like a point guard. One of the most underrated players ever in the 90s IMHO.

Him and Nelson didn't get along in Golden State, Webber was the flashy rook and Nelson was old school wanted a more "traditional" big man. Washington probably wasn't the best place for him, young with all that money and the women. Got caught up in that rape investigation and some other bs and front office tired of it. Had a good run in Sac-town until injuries cut his prime short.
