KD already on it :dead:

This is a common theme with Europeans in EVERY DAMN SPORT.

They think when Americans, Africans, Caribbean etc., win at sports, it's because of athleticism. When THEY win, it's always on some lunch pail shyt. European sport commentators stay with the :mjpls: .

"The Dutch are so disciplined, smart, heady"

"The Nigerians are just so athletic and powerful but can they handle the pressure and do they have the mental fortitude."

Them cats been getting drunk, singing and smoking cigarette and cigars the whole Olympics. Heard they were lit every time in Olympic Village :mjlol:

I ain't even mad at it. I know I'll go harder celebrating winning at dominoes harder than I will having successful project at work. When you with ya people it hits different and you can be your real self.

Next Olympics will be the biggest test yet in the last 20+ years for this squad. It won't be as simple as just throwing a team together.

There'll be no overlap of generational talent (as it now stands) on the team, and countries like Canada and France will have superstars (in their prime), anchoring theirs. It won't be long before Wemby is running shyt, and we don't have anyone who can really match up with him. The greater influx of Euro talent coming through the NBA will shrink the talent advantage we have too.

We saw even an all-time stacked team weren't immune to the powers of the 3-pt shot against Serbia. A team only needs the 3-pt variance in their favor for just ONE game, and it's over. Which is kind of ironic given we needed the greatest 3-pt shooter that's ever lived to bring it home in the last two games.

There's nothing inherently wrong with what he posted.

Jrue was definitively better than Tatum in the Olympics, and he rose to the occasion more than Tatum did in the Finals too (albeit he has a less important role and deals with less defensive attention). Tatum's jumpshot abandoned him pretty much all postseason, and as we saw in the Olympics he couldn't find it. Funny thing is, his 2024 postseason was pretty much his most inefficient one of his career and the Celtics still went on to win the 'ship, so it is quite strange in that respect that hadn't really improved from the year before.

He should be hitting his peak, but we've seen anything but that, which is only emphasized by his poor performance in the Olympics.

He probably just needs to deprogramme himself from all things hoops for a while. He's played more basketball than pretty much everyone over the last 2-3 years.
the postseason performance i chalk up to the defense prioritizing him heavily(all that struggling & he still lead them across the board)

he showed he knows how to draw that attention & instead of chucking through it he feeds his squad contributing in a holistic sense

jt role is the role bron was playing in the olympics he wasn't gonna get in & get in rhythm

he has shown up to this point he can play through the chatter from outside

he's not the gun-slinging chucker prototype most people celebrate

watching him in the finals i saw he has that eye where you can see him holding back trailing a little watching & you can see his brain turning

he's not out there tunnel vision just dropping shells

but people don't rate that they call it passive soft etcetera etcetera etcetera unless it's nikola then they call it genius HA

The chemistry between those two isn't the problem, it’s the makeup of that roster.

NAH THEIR CHEMISTRY
WAS DEFINITELY A PROBLEM AS WELL.

KD COMPLAINED ABOUT THE OFFENSE
AFTER THE SEASON WAS OVER.

HE WAS RELEGATED TO STANDING
IN THE CORNER TOO OFTEN
WHILE THEY HAD BOOK TRYING
TO PLAY LIKE LUKA...

IN THIS OLYMPICS
BOOK HAS SHOWN HE CAN
CONTRIBUTE TO THE TEAM
WITHOUT DOMINATING THE BALL
AND FOCUSING ON DEFENSE.

Lebron was a de facto PG on the court and setting up people with some insane passes. Did you really compare what Tatum does to that? Tatum has shown improved playmaking when a team doubles him but not the ability to just straight up QB an entire offense when that doesn't happen.
