Think about it: you're 80 years old, and frail. You come home and see not one, but TWO younger a$$holes who broke in your place, and they're stealing and ransacking shyt. They see you, bum rush you and cause you physical pain; keep in mind nobody else is there to help your old ass. You manage to get your gun out, and all of a sudden these bytch-ass clowns who just violated the fukk outta you and your property, wanna try to run and escape, and possibly never get caught and pay for what they did. You're holding instant payback in your hand right then and there.

MOST people would've done the SAME thing he did in that situation - legal or not. (keep in mind, by 'in that situation' I'm including if they were his age at the time)

It's easy to sit on your ass in the comfort of a quiet room, and talk shyt about what he should have done, or what would've been the right thing to do, or what you would have done in his situation. There's nothing like actually being IN the situation, though.

That's why I doubt there's even gonna be any charges outta this. And even if he is charged, they'll fix it in a way to give him plenty of time before the actual trial/verdict. And even then, there's a good chance he'll still be found not guilty - assuming he's even still alive by then.

Explain how this is a fair comparison to a home invasion. I'm not gonna hold my breath though. So dude just thought people he hadn't seen before whom he didn't invite to his house and who attacked him were there for a home invasion? Must have been Jehovah's Witness.

People in here are arguing that someone stealing from you in your home justifies you killing them even if they retreat and no longer pose any threat to you whatsoever. Curious if the same principle applies if this scenario takes place at your business. Killing IMO should be a last resort. There was another option in both these scenarios.

there are plenty of Black people who have been in a similar situation and would have let off as well. shyt probably more, because unlike whites we actually fall victim to these types daily. Now you can talk about the symptoms and what may have caused the need for them to break in and steal. But I highly doubt they were in there looking for food and water. people in general don't like to feel victimized and in the heat of the moment. A lot of us would lose it. Now if this old man had shot them in the house while they were attacking him, fine.

If he had let off shots while they were fleeing his house, still fine.

But once they have left the premises, and are no longer posing a threat, it is not okay for you to chase them down like you're the fukking Punisher and shoot someone after they've surrendered, pregnant or not.
