OKC will not amnesty Perk. They will wait until the trade deadline and trade him. He is an expiring contract and teams are gonna want to snag him up just so they can dump that 9.5 million at end of season.

expirings aren't really valuable anymore. if so the bulls would be doing the same with boozer and the knicks would be doing the same with STAT, chandler, and Bargs.

:patrice: I've almost talked myself into Afflalo not being worth the trouble when we could get a CJ Miles or Shump & keep Lamb. Only upside would be getting Perk off the team & we would still have to throw 1 or 2 picks in just for them to take him. Truth be told I would be fine with keeping Perk after this deal on a much cheaper deal & Brooks starting Adams.

Lamb is 6 years younger & was pretty much a rookie this season & put up comparable stats to Afflalo in his first year in Denver when he became a starter in 09-10. Afflalo plays better defense though. I like Afflalo but he like Evan Turner (before the trade) benifited from playing on a bad team & putting up numbers. Lamb hit a rookie wall slump this season & was putting up better numbers before that month before Butler showed up & Brooks took him all the way out of the rotation.

13-14 season Lamb - 19.7 minutes, 8.5 points, 35% 3P%, 2.4 rebounds, 1.5 assists, .3 blocks, .7 steals
09-10 season Afflalo - 27.2 minutes, 8.8 points, 43% 3P%, 3.1 rebounds, 1.7 assists, .4 blocks, .6 steals

:yeshrug: No reason to think Lamb won't improve with more time.

i hate that so many folks on DT want to trade Lamb all of a sudden:smh:

dudes really forgot how Lamb played before the ASB:smh: Dude was averaging double figures on a great %. hell, when he and Reggie were carrying the bench is when the Thunder were playing their best ball of the year.

after the ASB he got into a slump then Butler was brought in and it was a wrap. he hit his delayed rookie wall...but still was probably a better option than some of the games Fisher and Butler were turning in:huhldup:

and Brooks had the nerve to play them(Fisher and butler) at the same damn time:scusthov:

we went from a young, explosive bench backcourt with a guy that could(should:comeon:) play solid D and spot up for 3s on limited minutes to an old, slow tandem that took TERRIBLE shots and got spots thanks to "veteran leadership" and "intangibles" even though they constantly made mistakes you'd expect a young 1st or 2nd year player to make but rather they are coming from 2 of the oldest guys on the team:smh:

I'm tired of the old ass, bottom of the barrel "shooters" Presti keeps bringing in:mad: No more Fisher and Butler's of the league on this team, at least not being grandfathered in to major minutes despite production due to having a ring riding the coattails of other players putting in the real work:pacspit:

Nolan Smith is playing on the summer league team. Odds are he'll end up making the team since Brooks loves him. We going to end up swapping Fisher out & Brooks is going to give 20 minutes a night to Nolan Smith.

I'm indifferent on Nolan being here. I would be completly fine if I knew Brooks would be able to show some control & not treat him like Fisher & give him minutes just because he loves him.

So we got Lamb, Adams, PJ3, Robes, Grant, possibaly 2 1st rounders, & Nolan going to summer league so far. I hope they give Lamb the chance to play some PG & that Robes shows up & hits some 3s.

A number of executives believe that Kristaps Porzingis has a promise from the Oklahoma City Thunder at No. 21. It seems that is his floor.

Hmmm some low post O :patrice:

Dude needs to eat some red beans and rice or somethin though ...his chest gonna get collapsed in the league.

He just withdrew his name.

We should just trade either one of those picks to the Knicks & get Shump, use the other on a stash guy or another trade, & use that TPE to get Dunleavy from the Bulls. Get a defender in Shump & hope he looks better in a better situation & a shooter in Dunleavy.

Was listening to The Sports Animal today (Okc radio station) and they are saying that Paul Pierce was seen here. Still no confirmation anywhere that I have seen, but wanted to throw that out there.

:ld: Don't really know about anybody in this draft at our spots, except maybe Capela. He looks like he would fit.
